Mrs. Michele Antoinette Thomas

Michele Antoinette Thomas was born on March 22, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of John W. Thomas and Marsha J. (Graham) Thomas. She was called home to Our Heavenly Father on October 31, 2017. She was the middle child of three siblings, the older sister, Danette and younger brother, John Eric. She was preceded in death by her father, John. W. Thomas. Michele confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized in 1971 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend W. J. Calvin. Michele received her formal education from Milwaukee Public Schools, and she graduated from Rufus King High School in 1984 where she was a student athlete who played on the girls basketball team. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh where she received a Bachelor's degree in 1989. She later received her Master's Degree from National Louis University in 2007 Michele began her career in education in 1989 with the Milwaukee Urban League's alternative school. In 1990 she began working for Milwaukee Public Schools at Daniel Webster Middle School. She continued her career with MPS for another 27 years working at Morris-Marshall Middle School, and South Division. While with MPS Michele was an active member of the union, a member of the Collective Bargaining Team and staying abreast of new rules, policies, benefits and most of all pay raises. Michele loved her family and friends and was always down for a get together, cookout or party. Although she was a jovial person with an infectious laugh, she was also one of the most sensitive people you would meet, with a caring heart for all. She had a silly side to her and began a recent tradition of putting various items in her sister and sister-in-laws purses before they would leave mom's house. She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Thomas; grandparents, James and Elvira Thomas, Edward and Dorothy Graham; aunts and uncles, Edward "Eddie" Graham, Paulette Copeland, Ulysses Jones, and James Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Kayla Mitchell, Jasmine and Denzel Tidmore; loving mother, Marsha Thomas; sister, Danette (Clifford) Bell; brother, John Eric (Carmen) Thomas; two loving grandchildren, Kayden and Synariya; several endearing nieces and nephews, Dante, William, Christopher, Isabella and Cristina; aunts and uncles, Brenda Jones, Marlena (David) Russell, Hideko, Jim Copeland; former spouse, Trent Tidmore; special friend, Tony McCoy; along with a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, loved ones and friends.
