Mrs. Tamara Childs

To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heavens ... "A Time to be Born" Tamara Nicole Jackson - Childs was born on September 25, 1974 to Linda and Roby Jackson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "A Time to Plant' Tamara Christ at an ear1y age. She attended Legacy Church in Coconut Creek, Florida where she was an active member until her death. "A Time to Build-Up" Tamara graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1992 and graduated with honors. After graduation, Tamara continued her education in Atlanta, Georgia at Spelman College and earned her B.A. in Political Science. While at Spelman, Tamara pledged with the Sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) and was Number 29 on her line. Tamara furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she attended law school and earned her Juris Doctor (J.D., Law). Following law school, Tamara worked as an attorney at Legal Helpers. After several years, Tamara along with a colleague from law school, started their own law firm, Figueroa and Jackson. Tamara met De'Angelo Childs and they later married in 2007. To this union, two children were born, Amir and Amaya Childs. The Childs' family relocated to North Carolina on July 1st, 2010 and Tamara started her own firm, Childs Law Group. After a few years in 2017, they moved to Florida and then back to North Carolina in 2020. Tamara was later employed with Wells Fargo as a Senior Financial Crimes Consultant where she served until her death. In her leisure, Tamara enjoyed attending sporting events with De'Angelo and traveling with the family. She enjoyed attending Gir1 Scouts with Amaya and football games with Amir. She was the best "cheer1eader" a mother could be for her kids. She also loved baking and cooking with them, and everyone enjoyed Tamara's holiday cookies. "A Time to Mourn" Tamara was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Raymond Jackson, Grandmother, Cleo Jackson, cousin Tonya Jackson-Jones and uncle Billy Jackson. Tamara departed her earthly journey on Tuesday October 13, 2020. "A Time to Love" Tamara leaves to cherish her memory, her husband De'Angelo; three children, Amante, Amir and Amaya and her parents Linda and Roby Jackson; grandmother Dottie Hicks; siblings: Rodney (Tarakee) Jackson, Vanessa Jackson, Daniel Davis, Robyn Hirsch, Justis Reaves, Alanna Lloyd, & Randy D. Jackson; uncles: Ronald (Loretta) Jackson, Robert (Faye) Jones; aunts: Ruthie Williams and Barbara (Stanley) Harris; special friends: Rochelle Cockerham and Veronica Lewis and a host of great aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
