Amy Lou Salinas, given name is Hiugewi (Queen) was born July 26, 1956 in Tigerton, Wisconsin and raised in Wittenberg, Wisconsin. Amy was the third born daughter of five girls to Raymond Morin Salinas and Marie Kathryn (Pettibone) Salinas. Amy Lou left the country life of Wittenberg and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she pursued a degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) as a legal secretary. She was a long standing employee at Whyte Hirschboeck and Dudek S.c. Law Firmfor twenty (25) years. She was also a fixture through the many charges of personnel and facilities at her place of employment. She was humble, loyal, hardworking, honest, kind and an asset to her company. Amy seemed to have the capacity to hone in on the positive aspects from those that crossed her path. She always made people feel comfortable and accepted. She had the gift of a gentle soul, yet she was one of the strongest people we knew. She recently battled numerous health issues but you would be hard pressed to hear her complain about it. She covered up her suffering so well that many of us never really knew the severity of her ailment. Amy's best friend and daughter Athena Latonia Salinas was there for her and experienced firsthand the degradation of her health. Her grandchildren Reuben, Romello and Amani were also there dally to support their grandmother (Gaga). Although we will all dearly miss our "sweet Amy Lou" for. our own selfish reasons, we know Amy knew God. She went home on Wednesday, March 11 to be with God in his Kingdom. She is no longer suffering and has been made whole again. To all the neighborhood children/friends and random strangers, misfits and hooligans, please pay her kindness forward and remember that love is unconditional. Respect and honor are noble traits. Make her proud by the way you live your life .because each and everyone of you are her "legacy". Amy leaves behind her daughter Athena Latonia Salinas, grandchildren Reuben, Romello and Amani Salinas; Sisters: Katherine (Salinas) Burgess, Guadalupe Marie Salinas, Anna May Salinas (Husband Ben Shaker), Anita Ramona (Salinas) Nevsiriial (Husband Mark Nevsimal), Nephew: Michael Salinas (Partner Sonja Severn); Nieces: the late Tina Marie Burgess' and Tammy Lynn (Burgess) Lopez, Ginger Burgess, Stacy (Salinas-Dodge) Vittal, Scheherazada Salinas, Valerie Burgess; Great Nieces: Dalicia Caballero (Husband Jordan Kufner), Mercedes Caballero (Partner. Robert Cohoon), Savannah Escobar, Pele' Salinas, Madison Tipton, Ayanna Salinas, Tania Salinas, Grace Lopez, Faith Lopez, Jayla Bested and Sofia Salinas; Great Nephews: .Capreace Salinas, Ramon Salinas, Neil Tipton Jr. and Aiden Lopez; Great Great Nephew: Jayovanni Kutner, Great Great Nieces: Ariella Cohoon, [enesis Kufner, Mila Tipton and Jazzlynn Tipton.
