Ms. Annie Frank Robinson

ANNIE FRANK ROBINSON was born on September 4,1947, in Brownsville, Tennessee, to Sid and Claude Currie. She was one of eleven children. Annie graduated from Manassas High School in Memphis, Tennessee. She accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN. Annie relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and there she joined the Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in 1967, under the leadership of Rev. E.M. Kelly, Sr. At Metropolitan, Ann was a dedicated and committed member of the Naomi Cox Mission Circle for over 30 years, serving as President for four years. Additionally, she diligently fulfilled the role of Sunday School Treasurer for approximately 40 years. She also contributed to the church picnic events with enthusiasm. Ann united in marriage to Mr. James T. Robinson, Sr., in February 1967. Two beautiful children were born of this union, Vernita and James T. Robinson, Jr. Ann worked at Time Insurance Company located in downtown Milwaukee for 10 years. She later joined Coca-Cola Bottling Company, retiring as a Sales Representative after 35 years of service. A savvy entrepreneur, she owned several properties. Ann's most cherished treasures were her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She had a special relationship with each of her grandchildren. They shared their secrets, spent quality time together, and had lots of laughs. Ann was a woman of many talents and passions. She loved baking. Her specialties were German Chocolate and Pound Cakes being frequently requested. She enjoyed traveling-particularly to Las Vegas and local casinos-and watching her favorite television shows,Wheel of Fortune and Judge Judy. Ann was known not only for her elegant sense of fashion, but also for her grace and presence as a classy, trendsetting woman. On Thursday, May 29,2025, Ann went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents: Sid Currie, Sr., and Claude Bond Currie; siblings: James Currie, Sid Currie, Jr., Dorothy Orr, Susie Simpson, Bessie Houston, Donald Currie and Larry Currie . Ann leaves to cherish her memory two loving children: Vernita (Robert) Maddox of Milwaukee, WI and James (Theresa) Robinson, Jr. of Mequon, WI; grandchildren: Patrick A. Mays, Jr. and Andrea A. Mays of Milwaukee, WI, Justin J. Robinson and Jacob T. Robinson of Mequon, WI; great-grandchild, Davina Joy Mays of Shawano, WI; her siblings: Hilda (Willie) Perkins, Robert Currie and Jerry (Nita) Currie; beloved in-laws: Cambric Robinson, Sr. and Yvonne Robinson; very dear friend, Mr. Bill Martin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
