Mr. Anthony Quin Sims

Anthony (Tony) Sims was born on May 5, 1954, the second son, to the union of Granville and Normajean Sims (nee Andrews) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Anthony received his formal education in the Milwaukee Public School System, graduating from Rufus King High School. Anthony accepted Christ as his Savior as an infant and united with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was united in holy matrimony with Geraldine Cole on June 19, 1976 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Anthony was a remarkable son and brother. he was a jokester and of a loving and giving heart. he was a private and quiet person with a great love for his family and close friends. Anthony had an especially strong love for his daughter, granddaughter, nieces and nephews. Anthony was versatile in his skills and abilities which were displayed in sales for Sears, driving and training others in school bus safety, driving for and participating in camps for handicapped children, working in a foundry and returning to sales with his own company, Sir Anthony Showcase Store.com. Anthony was a resident of Ballard Nursing Center in Des Plaines, Illinois during his final two years in this life rehabilitating from health issues. While rehabilitating, Anthony's personality continued to brighten the lives of those he loved by creating animated graphics on his laptop and phone for all special occasions and simply to say "Hi" and "I Love You." Anthony was an avid fisherman, even though he did not care to eat fish. Anthony also enjoyed movies and music. he was an encyclopedia regarding 'old school' R&B, soul and funk. Anthony Quin Sims departed this life on Monday, December 22, 2014. he leaves to cherish his memory: beloved parents, Granville and Normajean (Billie Jo); one daughter, Tashiva "Tasha" Carter; two brothers, Tod D. of Milwaukee, WI and Michael D> Sims of Grinnell, IA; one sister, Nina Bruce of Milwaukee, WI; one granddaughter, Quane Carter; two nephews, Timothy D. (Tihesha) and Quentin D. Sims; three nieces, Normajean A, Natalie D. Sims and Marqarita A. (Corey) Gill; uncles, Maridy Jackie Andrews, jack (Carrie) Sims and Jerome (Minnie) Sims; aunt, Rosemary Holley; "Love Aunts", Joyce B. Thrasher and Marian P. Graham; "First cousins/Love Brothers", Sylvester Sims Jr., Terry Sims, D'Angelo Carr, Vincent "Vinnie" Farmer, Warner "Skip" Jackson and Daniel Webster.
