Mrs. Barbara Ann Malone

On March 14, 1958 the world was blessed with a beautiful gift in the presence of Barbara Ann Grafton. This precious gift was entrusted into the care of her parents Eloise Grafton and Sidney Hill. In 1961 Barbara moved from her birth home, Sardis, Mississippi, to Milwaukee Wisconsin with her mother and siblings. She accepted Christ as her Savior at Jordon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Reed. Barbara received her formal education in the Milwaukee Public School system and graduated from North Division High School. her professional career began at St. Mary's Hospital where she was employed for several years. However, her greatest job was that of a mother. Barbara was the proud mother of six amazing children born to her union with Charles Burton. Barbara's love for her family led to her decision to become a full time homemaker. Barbara's children really were her pride and joy. it was almost impossible to have a conversation with Barbara without her talking about her children and their individual accomplishments. Barbara was a fun and loving person who was given to benevolence and much hospitality. She never met a stranger. to know her was to Love her. Her benevolence was recognized through volunteering at the red Cross, and Toys for Tots and through many charitable donations to the salvation Army and the Goodwill. Barbara enjoyed shopping and decorating and she definitely loved to cook. She was such a selfless individual. the highlight of her shopping and cooking was being able to give to others and put a smile on their faces. As a matter of fact although, Barbara's health was failing, she still found time to give gifts to all of her relatives. She on October 6, 2014, God answered Barbara's prayer and Healed her from the trouble of the world. "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord" She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Hill, nephews, Derrick Grafton, Geron Brewer, Georante Brewer, aunt Doristina Hannah, cousin Stanley Doyle and brother-in-law Charles McClelan. She leaves to cherish her memory, eight sisters, Mary (Samuel) Buchanan, Cora (Robert) Steel, Alice (Clay) Stephens, Betty McClelan, Joanne Grafton, Trelisa Grafton, Velma (Alonzo) Jackson, and Winnie Grafton. Three brothers Ben (Linda) Grafton, David (Jackie) Grafton, and Jessie Grafton; one uncle, Melvin (Judy) Williams; two aunts, Alice Ford and Margie Doyle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Barbara affected everyone she met with her infectious smile and generous spirit. Barbara was known for her contributions to the mission and outreach ministry at the Life center. She was faithful to the Women's ministry and regularly attended prayer services and bible studies. Barbara supported her church in any way possible and continued to support the ministry even while hospitalized. Barbara prayed fervently for the will of God to be done in her life. Despite the existence of sickness in her body, she continued to declare her healing. Barbara often stated, "I am a miracle."
