Mr. Bennie "BJ" J. McClellan

On November 5,1938, in the small town of Hickory, MS Bennie Johnson McClellan or BJ as he was affectionately known was born to Mrs. Effie Jimison McClellan and Earlie McClellan. BJ got his spiritual connection at an early age from his mother, who was a devout church member sharing with BJ her favorite gospel songs such as "Precious Lord" and "Ill Go". BJ attended both elementary and High School in Hickory MS. He would later trail his older brother Clarence to Chicago and eventually Milwaukee in 1969. He then married Alvia Mae Reed in 1960 and to this union three children were born. He and Alvia separated however, they remained friends throughout her life. Being handsome as he was, he was known to be a lady's man and too these attractions it brought about his other children. In his social time BJ shoot pool and darts, and he loved his Blues. When it came to cars BJ loved his cars, tile antenna whips, crackling glass pipes and unique horns. For those who can remember his sage Delta 88 tile horn mimicked and mocked tile Dukes of Hazards homo Little known secret this horn was tile sound and warning blocks away for tile kids to get in tile house before he and Sherri made it up tile hill and eventually home. 1981 BJ meet who would share the rest of his life with; Sherri Daniels better known as Cookie. BJ and Cookie did everything together from their road trips to Mississippi, to their countless hours at Wes's. Wes's is where they both would enjoy their most strongest bottle of whiskey and finest bottle of wine, well not wine but their favorite drink •• Crown Royal . BJ and Sherri "Cookie" would party and dance many nights away. When Wes's closed it did not stop their life- long courting, they just moved on to a new place which was Road Runners. BJ and Cookie shared a good life, a life into his retirement and latter with his health battles. Sherri did not leave his side and became his primary care giver, she cared for him until tile end holding his hand and reinforcing her love for him. Earlier it was mentioned that BJ was a handsome man, that just wasn't it he was also a fashionable man. He kept a creased blue jean suit, glistening boots and shinned belt buckle and how can you forget those five gallon's cowboy hats and hisElferd Duckwards cigars. Now some would say others 'would say a pain in tile you know what, that depends on which sister you would ask, but he was defiantly a prankster. He loved playing pranks on everyone no one was safe including brothers in his later years BJ would have his cell phone glued to his ear, I think we all . incoming calls. BJ is preceded in death by his mother Effie and Father Earlie McClellan, Brother Charles . McClellan, Earlie Eugene McClellan, Sisters Shirley Ann Smith, Molly McClellan, Minnie Francis Thompson. One son Lester McClellan,grandsons Andre Watkins and Jovan Wilder. Bj leaves to cherish his precious memories to his loving and lifelong partner Sherri L Daniels (5) Daughters Mamie McClellan or Laurel, MS, Yolanda Corner of Fort Worth, TX Evelyn Comer of Chicago IL, Cheryl Pope of Milwaukee, WI and Courtney Daniels of Milwaukee, WI, sons Ricky (Joann) McClellan, Milwaukee, WI, Carnell Corner of Oklahoma, Bennie James McClellan of Milwau- kee, WI, Bennie Johnson, of Sevem, Maryland, Montez McClellan of Milwaukee, 'WI, Corey Daniels of Milwaukee, WI, Andre (Cenea) Watkins of Fernandina Beach, FL Brandon (Regina) McClellan of Milwaukee, WI and Tyrone "TC" Daniels of Milwaukee, WI four (4) sisters Mary Lousie McClellan, Ida Faye Shaw, Edna Harris and Mattie Jordan all of Meridian, MS; Two brothers Bishop Clarence McClellan, and Willie McClellan both of Milwaukee WI. He also leaves behind 60 grandchildren, 54 Great-Grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his road dawgs, his junior caregivers Kenndi Daniels, Tyshawn Daniels and Tylah Daniels, Close friends Steve Collins, Curtis Boyd and Jessie McSwain.
