OBITUARY Bessie Chanell Curtis was born October 15, 1968, to the union of Henry DeWilliam Jackson and Bessie Mae Jackson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her formal education at Bay View High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She furthered her educational studies at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Bessie accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was an active member of Northside Church of God where she served as a greeter. She was united in holy matrimony with Walter Franklin Curtis on March 6, 1999, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their union was blessed and blended with three sons. Bessie was employed by Milwaukee County Transit as a Bus Operator for over 20 years. In her leisure, Bessie liked fellowshipping at church and with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, Facebook and her hobby as a self-proclaimed genealogist. DATE OF DEATH AND PRECEDING DEATHS Bessie Chanell Curtis departed this life April 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, DeEddie and LaNora Jackson; maternal grandparents, Emmett and Bessie Brown; parents, Henry DeWilliam and Bessie Mae Jackson; sister, Evangeline Jackson-Cox; brother-in-law, James M. Nash; and nephew, Alae L. Jackson.
