Ms. Charlene Jackson

Charlene Jackson was born on February 3, 1963 in Tiptonville, Tennessee. The late Charles Jackson and Marlene Ramsey were chosen to be her earthly parents. Charlene was the fourth oldest of seven children. She was a loved child. She began her formal education at the Margaret Newton Elementary School in Tiptonville, Tennessee, Ridgley Middle School in Ridgley, Tennessee, and finally completed her high school education at West Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Charlene later went on to complete an Associate of Arts Degree in accounting from Bryant and Stratton College in March 1996. Charlene's education was not only limited to schools. At an early age, she was introduced to Christ. She embraced the love of Jesus as she accepted Christ and was baptized at the Solomon Baptist Chapel in Wynnburg, Tennessee, under the then leadership of the late Rev. McCoy. Charlene was a fun-loving, happy person to be around. She loved her family, friends and people. If there was anything she could do to help someone, she would. She would give you the 'shirt off her back' if needed. Charlene had a very strong work ethic. She was a very hard worker at wherever she was employed. Over her career, she worked for JC Penney Outlet Center,Jeans West Clothiers, Esperanza Unida (a non-profit) as an accounting specialist, and finally at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino as a cashier. She did whatever it took to take care of her family, which consisted of her two children: Torey, her son and Markita, her daughter. Charlene, though quiet and low key, had many friends. She met many of her friends during her 15 years as a United States Army Reservist. She enjoyed those friendships as she enjoyed the discipline of the military that carried over into her personal life. Charlene enjoyed watching HGTV and DiY television programs. She especially loved sports, with her favorite team being the Green Bay Packers. She gathered together with family and friends on a regular basis to watch the Packers. Charlene loved life as a believer, thankful and enjoying the life God had blessed her with, the good and the bad. But she learned early on, she could "stand on the promises of Jesus." It was approximately nine months ago when Charlene knew she would be challenged much more than ever before; but she knew that she would and could still stand on God's promises as she had in the past. On Monday, November 5, 2018 at 9:30 a.m., God came to reclaim the soul he had given her some 55 years ago, removing her from all disease and pain. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life: son, Torey Jackson and devoted daughter, Markita Harrell of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her beloved mother, Marlene Ramsey of Tiptonville, Tennessee; three sisters Joann Clay of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Marilyn Clay and Joyce Clay, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three brothers: Willie Ramsey of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Tony Ramsey and Edward Jackson, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; six aunts -Dorothy Johnson, Ruby Lee, Marvis Jackson and Doris Jean Smith, all of Tiptonville, Tennessee and Dorothy Ramsey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four uncles, Bennie Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee, Fred Jackson of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Robert Ramsey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Henry Smith of Tiptonville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Tori, Taliyah, Christian and Braylon Jackson, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her special adopted family relationships with the Loggins, the Browns, the Davenports, the Stantons and the Army Reserve families; a very special brother and sister in law, Derrick and Monic Eubanks; a loving mother-in-law, Margaret Eubanks; "Kita's" godmother, Karen Warford; godchildren, Brittany Warford, Bryana Warford and Shatari Moody, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Charlene was preceded in death by her father, Charles Jackson; sister, Diane Clay and her adopted father, William Eubanks.
