Mr. Charles Laxton Hamilton Sr.

CharlesL. Hamilton, Sr. was born on March 8, 1924 to the union of his parents; . Flynn and Esther Hamilton in Russellville, Alabama. Charles received his early education in the Russellville school district. He was united in holy matrimony with Texana Gholston in Russellville, Alabama on December 20, 1943. He serviced in the U.S. Navy as a General Deliver. Charles learned from various religious faiths throughout his life and favored the Muslim beliefs. During the winter of 1950, Charles moved his family and chil- dren, Ethel, Estrellia and Jamon to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One of his first jobs was with the City' of Milwaukee as a maintenance man. Their union was also blessed with five additional children: Charles L. Jr., Rosalyn, Katherine, La- mont and Brett. Later in life he worked as art independent truck driver for many years on the East Coast. Charles was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed playing his guitar, ' watching educational programs such as mathematics and spending time with his family and friends. Charles departed this life on July 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Flynn and Esther Hamilton, his wifeTexana, his sister Lotttie Jo Bellamy, granddaughter Yolanda R. Golden and grandson Byron Marshall. He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Ethel Key (Andrew L.) of Houston, TX, Estrellia Parker, Jamon Hamilton (Faye) of Milwaukee, WI, Charles L. Hamilton, Jr. of St. Paul, MN, Rosalyn H. Mclilvain, Katherine J. Davis, Lamont F. Hamilton (Lavon), of Milwaukee, WI., and Brett J. Ham- ilton (Geneva) of Houston, TX. Grandchildren: Sonja M. Hamilton, Jacqueline Lucas, Ashunta D. Hamilton, Bridget Key, Dr. Charles L. Hamilton III (CYnthia), Jean Davis, Devon Hardy (Reggie), Kenny Marshall (Tasha), Rachel Zollicoffer(James), Tyson Williams (Latonya), Coby Williams, Chatia Williams, Melissa Hamilton, Alexander H. McElvain, Jamon Hamilton Jr., Zandra Joshua (Antoine), Daryl McElvain (Rhondi) and Younda Parsons (Jermaine). Great Grand Children: Jeremi Parr Sr, Melaine McElvain, Andrew J. Key, Jordan Hamilton, Shayla Hamilton, Khennedi Brown, Makyla Davis, Londyn Randle.Emiley Williams, great-great grandsons Jeremi Parr Jr., Brice Howard and great-granddaughter Brimm Howard. Siblings: Flynn Hamilton, Sr . . (Rachel), Esther Winchester, Eva Gordon, Dave Hamilton (Beula), Gladys Bradley and Lillie Sangster (James), two sister-in-laws Gladys Saxton and Jerri , Hillman and a host of cousins, nieces,nephews and friends.
