Ms. Clemistine Barr

Clemistine Barr was born on February 18, 1955 to VVV\NVO the union of James and Rose M. Wilson-Barr in Tacoma Washington. Clemistine was the fifth of nine children, and her siblings fondly referred to her as "Tootie". Clemistine started her formal education in Troy, Alabama at the Academy Street School, while being cared for by her grandmother Annie Barr. At the age of seven Clemistine and her siblings were reunited with their parents in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she obtained her education within the Milwaukee Public School System. Clemistine graduated from West Division High School in June of 1973. She went on to obtain her Associates Degree from Sawyer Business College in 1979. Two of Clemistine's greatest joys in life were the birth of her two children, LaShawnda Marie Barr and Christopher William Barr. Clemistine later handpicked her third child, Hermine Weatherspoon; whom she loved as though she had birthed her herself. After earning her degree, in Business Management, Clemistine went to work at Old Line Life Insurance Company where she formed a special bond with two lifelong friends, Lois Gray and Alice Love. Clemistine was last employed with Home Living Service, for 28 years where she wore many hats; her most recent being office manager. Only those who are trusted to care and nurture are chosen to protect those most precious. Clemistine devoted a great deal of her time nurturing and caring for others, young and old alike. Clemistine found joy in being of help to so many people. Clemistine accepted Christ as her Personal Lord and Savior early in life, and was a proud member of Parklawn Assembly of God, in Milwaukee WI under the leadership of Bishop Walter Harvey. Clemistine often visited Northside Church of God where she was well known for her friendly smile; she often referred to Northside as her second church home. If Clemistine could leave Just one message for everyone it would be this: Be a Bone Marrow Donor and save a life. Clemistine Barr departed this life on February 21,2015. She was preceded in: death bvher grandparents, Doc and Annie Murphy-Barr, parents, James Barr and Rose Marie Wilson-Barr; four brothers, James Barr Jr., Charles Barr, Donald Barr and Ricky Barr. As I spread my wings and ascend to heaven, I leave behind to treasure my memories: my loving and devoted companion of 24 years, James Ward of Milwaukee, WI; my two daughters, LaShawnda Barr of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Hermina Weatherspoon of Milwaukee, WI; one son, Christopher William Barr of Milwaukee, WI; one step-son, Desmond Hayes of Milwaukee, WI; five granddaughters, Breondra Hawthorne, Destiny Robinson-Barr, Laraya Wilson, Satoria Hayes and Tiyanna Hayes, all of Milwaukee, WI; one great-grandson, Breon Porter of Milwaukee, WI; two brothers, Robert Barr and Lester Barr both of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters, Mary L. Williams (Samuel) of Milwaukee, WI and Patricia Burks (Billy) of Huntsville, Alabama; one special, chosen sister of 39 years, Latisha Smith of Dallas, Texas; one aunt, Arlean Tutts of Milwaukee, WI; two God-sons, Brandon Gladney (Kristi) of Dallas, TX and Bryan Smith of Dallas, TX; very dear and special friends,' Lois Gray, Alice Love, Margaret Mimms, Mikki Parker and Von Bryant; and host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
