Mr. Clemon Roosevelt Thames

Clemon Rosevelt Thames was born on January 26, 1933 to the union of Theodore RoseveltThames and Roxie Gray Thames in Jackson, Mississippi. He received his formal education within the Jackson, Mississippi School System. After moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin he later received a Machinist Certificate from Milwaukee Area Technical College. Clemon accepted Christ as his Savior early in his life. He rededicated his life to Christ, was baptized, united with Greater Galilee Baptist Church and was a member until his passing. Clemon was united in holy matrimony with Lucille Bolden on June 13, 2015 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Clem on served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955 when he was honorable discharged. He also served in the United States Army Reserves where he was a devoted instructor. Clem on was employed by Wisconsin Motors, Wisconsin Packing House, Bucyrus and A.O. Smith later known as Tower Automotive as a Machinist until his retirement. Clemon always emphasized the importance of family. In his leisure, Clemon enjoyed fishing, working on cars, traveling, working in his garden and home improvement. Clemon was called "Buddy" by his family and definitely a "Jack Of All Trades." Buddy could make you a home cooked meal, fix your car, repair the inside and outside of your house and sew your clothes. He could and would do it all! Clemon was a sharp dresser who loved his suits. Clemon Rosevlt Thames departed this life on Monday, August 8, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Rosevelt Thames and Roxie Gray Thames; son, Darrell C. Thames; brothers, George Robert Thames and Thomas Matthew Thames; and sisters, Lula Mae Johnson, Catherine Boston and Annie Lorine Winston. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Lucille Thames of Milwaukee, WI; three daughters, Debra A. Thames, Vickey R. Tandon of Milwaukee, WI and Jannis L. Thames of Lincoln, NE; three sons, Clemon R. Thames, Jr., Michael Thames and Deon C. Thames all of Milwaukee, WI; three step-daughters, Mary (Jeff) Cross, Linda Jones and Tammy Bolden all of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Jessie Brelon Thames of Milwaukee, WI; ex-wife, Jeanette Thames of Milwaukee, WI; seventeen grandchildren; and a host of loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends
