Mrs. Cleo Virginia Jones

Cleo Virginia (Love) Jones was born on June 24, 1945 in Gates, Tennessee to James "Teddy" and Donie (Perkins) Love, the seventh child and third daughter of thirteen children. Cleo accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Luke Baptist Church in Gates, Tennessee. When the family moved to Halls, Tennessee she united with Matthew Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the Youth Choir. After her move to Milwaukee, Wisconsin she was a member of several churches, the last was Lamb of God Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active sunday school member, a helper with the hope closet and the dessert maker for the culinary ministry. Cleo received her formal education within the Halls Consolidated School in Halls, TN and furthered her education earning a nursing degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College. Cleo was employed by Milwaukee County as a Registered Nurse for twenty five years. Cleo was united in holy matrimony to L.T. Jones on January 23, 1963. This union was blessed with two sons, Tony and Tylan Jones. Cleo enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was a faithful and devoted participant a the Clinton Rose Senior Center where she was involved with the senior striders, the religious and serving classes and making homemade bakery for the seniors. Cleo Jones departed this life on Saturday, November 26, 2016 with family by her bedside. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Donie Love; husband, L.T. Jones; sisters, Georgia Wright, Virgia Currin and Deborah Love; and brothers, Partee, James, Thomas, Henry and Darenton Love. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Tony (Latrina) of Jackson, TN and Tylan (Teresita) of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Willie (Dorothy) of Decatur, IL, Doras (Barbara) of Ripley, TN and Terry (Betty) of Dyersburg, TN; sisters, Alice of Milwaukee, WI and Linda of Ripley, TN; adopted brother, L.D. (Emma) Deberry of Milwaukee, WI; brother-in-laws, A.B. Wright, Reverend Elloyd (Pauline) Jones and Henry (Bobbie) Jones of Milwaukee, WI; sister-in-laws, Jessie Love, Delores Tooles, Dorothy Qohn) Williams and Yvonne Jones; a very special and devoted friend, Vernell Allen and family; and a host of niece, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other caring relatives and dear friends.
