Mrs. Daisy Bell Hackett

Daisy B. Hackett was born on April 6, 1933 to the union of Savior and Laura Joseph in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Daisy received her formal education in the Oklahoma Public School System graduating from BookerT. Washington High School. Daisy accepted Christ into her life at an early age. In 1960 Daisy and her family relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Along life's journey Daisy was married to Kenneth Mays their union was blessed with one child. She was later married to the late Robert Hackett Sr. r their union was blessed with seven children. In her later years Daisy was united with William Alston, they were blessed with one child. Daisy was gainfully employed at Milwaukee County Mental Health Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Adult Care Giver, retiring after many years of service. In her leisure, you could find Daisy working her garden, planting flowers, reading books, fishing or watching her favorite soap opera, ''The Young and the Restless". Daisy loved spending quality time with her family and looked forward to the holidays; she always prepared a Feast for everyone to enjoy. She enjoyed traveling to visit her family that lived in other cities. Ufe should be measured not by the number of years, but rather by the loved shared, the memories made, the joy given and the blessings received. Daisy's life was full and her arms reached beyond her family to the community. She worked the polls every voting day, participated in Block Clean Up and was a grandmother to all the children at Fairmount Day Care for over ten years. On February 6,2015 God in His infinite wisdom transitioned Daisy from her earthly home to her heavenly home. Her legacy will live on through all whom lives she touched. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving children, Leslie Mays, Danny Hackett, Leland Hackett, Michael Hackett, Robert (Renee) Hackett, Toni Hackett, Corliss Hackett, Patricia Hackett and April Hackett; twenty three grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; . and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Savior and Laura Joseph; husband, Robert Hackett Sr, brothers, James Joseph and William Joseph; sisters, Precious Edwards, Eva McElroy, Joann Chetham, Mary Adkins, Materal Jackson, Edith Boling, Erma Nichols, and Zelyone Mays; and special friend, William Alston. May her legacy resound in all whom encountered her pre Knowing that she will always be near and dear to our hearts.
