Mr. Earl Parr

Earl Lamont Parr was born in Milwaukee on December 18, 1957 to the union of Calvin and Dorothy Parr. Earl attended Milwaukee Public Schools and graduated from Washington High School. After high school, Earl continued his formal education through training at IBA School of Cosmetology. Earl accepted Christ at a young age and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved his family unconditionally and was a dedicated companion, father, brother grandfather, uncle and friend. He touched the lives of many others during his lifetime. Earl was diligent and conscientious in all his endeavors and over the years he gained valuable knowledge regarding the legal system and justice laws. As a result, he was helpful in the release of 25 inmates. He also worked as a counselor with the Lincoln Park Youth Project and was well known throughout the 27th Street community where he grew up. As a young man, Earl loved calisthenics and could do backwards flips and twists with ease and he enjoyed coaching younger family members to do them as well. At family picnics, he would have all the kids doing "no hands" flips and backflips and they couldn't get enough! Earl departed this life and passed into eternal glory on August 29,2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Parr, Sr., brother, Maurice Parr; and his grandparents Murdie and Bernice Parr and Louis and Viola Ross. Earl's memory will be cherished by his children, Aiesha and Jalal Parr, Sr., Earl Jr., and Earl II; stepchildren, Anessah Shumpert and Zakiyah Evans. His mother, Dorothy Mae Parr; his father's twin brother, (uncle) Alvin Parr; uncles Melvin and Sam, and aunt Verlee McKinney. His siblings Janice, Theresa, Kenneth, Cynthia (Harry) Seymore; Veronica, Calvin Jr., Kevin, Marcellus, Malcolm, Wendy and Billy. Earl will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Modesty, Madison, J alal Jr., Marquese, J aprei, Darius, Desmond, Davion and Demyan. In addition, Earl will be fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and other relatives. Earl is also loved and will be deeply missed by his fiance and best friend, Robin Lawson; and special friends Beverly Chase and Crystal.
