Mr. Emmanuel Atunu Ezekiel

Emmanuel Ezekiel was born on March 29, 1967 in Takoradi, Ghana to Nigerian parents- Late Mr Ezekiel Warri Owhegberu And his wife Mrs Victoria Ezekiel(Nee Atunu) Emmanuel's birth was heralded with pomp and pageantry as he was the first son after five older sisters. He was one of twelve children of the family. Emmanuel's parents moved to Nigeria when he was 2yrs old and settled in Warri, Delta State. Emmanuel attended Mowoe Primary School, Warri. Secondary school education was started at the famous Hussey College in Warri Delta State and concluded at St Finbarr's Secondary School, Lagos. Emmanuel then attended The University Of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba(UNILAG) where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Physical Education. Emmanuel- fondly called Emma by family and friends - then embarked on his profession as a Personal Trainer to some prominent Nigerians, notable amongst whom were the likes of business mogul Alike Dangote. He was very passionate about his work and helped most of them to understand the benefits of a healthy body and lifestyle. He met and married the love of his life Ms Lucy Ifere on June 10, 2000, and the union was blessed with two amazing children Ogaga Ezekiel And Ivie Ezekiel. Emma was passionately dedicated to his family - the centerpiece of his life - after God. He migrated to the USA in 2004 and settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his wife Lucy and children. In the USA, Emma worked to help care for the physical well being of the elderly. He was a regular fixture at the YMCA Brown Deer as he continued his first passion of exercising and healthy eating lifestyle. He was preceded in death by his father and elder sister May Ellen Ezekiel Mofe-Darnijo popularly known as MEE. He is survived by his wife, children, ten sisters and brothers and his aged mother, all of whom will miss him dearly. Emma was born into a Christian home, to a father who was a former catechist in the Anglican Church, and as an adult, he surrendered his life to his lord and savior Jesus Christ, whom he worshiped with passion and zeal until his last breathe, and served as a minister in Mountain Of Fire And Miracles Ministries(MFM). He led an exemplary life of humility, devoid of any scandals, which is a source of great pride to the family he left behind. But of greater comfort is his love of his savior Jesus Christ till the very end. And he now is with God whom we know, through his blessed assurance, welcomed him home with "Well Done My Good And Faithful Servant".
