Mrs. Hattie M. Foster-Hall

Hattie Mae Wafer Foster Hal was born on Mlay 1,1929 to the union of the late Ira Wafer and the late Carrie Jackson Wafer in Magnolia, Arkansas. Hattie was the third eldest of eight children born to this union. Hattie was educated in the public school system in Magnolia along with her siblings, completing her high school education at Walker High School. One of the fond memories, Hattie shared over the years was how she loved playing basketball with her sister at Walker High School on the girls basketball team. Hattie's Christian education was also something she was very proud of. Her parents had very strong Christian roots and saw to it that all of their children were introduced to the Lord at an early age. Hattie confessed Christ and became a member along with her family at the then King Hill AME Church in Magnolia. Evangelist Foster Hall met and married Claude Foster, Jr. in 1948. This union was blessed with seven children and lasted for 48 years, when the Lord called her beloved husband home. Following the direction of the Holy Spirit, Evangelist Foster married again to Mr. William Hall. This marriage lasted 19 years until his passing. Evangelist Foster- Hall loved her family. She loved people and she loved the Lord. She and her husband established their home where God was first. They introduced all of their children to the Lord and encouraged them to do the same with their respective children/ families. Evangelist Foster Hall worked for Marquette University in the area of food service for over 22 years. Retiring early, she was recognized for her dedication to her job and the pleasant attitude she demonstrated with all of the staff and students she encountered on a daily basis. Evangelist Foster Hall was a woman of God. She was known for her strong faith and thrust in God. This steadfast faith led her to accept a call to ministry and established a church entitled Showers of Blessings. She pastored this ministry for approximately 40 years. One of her golden talents and gifts from the Lord was in her singing voice. Her gifts as a songstress were requested as well as her ability to bring "The Word" of the Lord based on scripture by many. For many years, she and her brothers and brothers- in -law would gather in Milwaukee and have good "down home" gospel concerts, given to packed places of worship. On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 8:30 p.m., at the Columbia St. Mary's Hospital, after a brief illness .... Mother Granny, Evangelist, Pastor as she was affectionately known and referred to was summoned by our Lord for a command performance. Angels were dispatched to escort her in to her place in the celestial choir. She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, two sons, Claude Raymond (Vivian) Foster III and Thomas (Sandra) Foster, Sr.; one daughter, Loretta (Eddie) elson all of Milwaukee, WI; one brother, Johnny Wafer of Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Eloise Henderson of Magnolia, AR; one special niece, Mary Ann (Wilson) Bortic of Milwaukee, WI; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, godchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and fellow saints.
