Mr. Homer Lee Gosia Jr.

Strengthened by the challenges he faced throughout his lifetime, Homer Lee Gosia, Jr. had a strong will to carryon. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Homer was the only child to the union of Homer Lee Gosia, Sr. and Minnie Lee Patterson Gosia Carter. Homer met his current wife, Pamela Jean (Mack) Gosia in Milwaukee in 1978, while bowling. They married on October 2, 1982. Together, they have one daughter, Nicole Gosia. Homer with his wife, Pamela by his side provided loving compassionate care for his mother in their home during her long illness until her death. Homer accepted Christ in Milwaukee, WI. He received his formal education at North Division High School. He received additional training through his employer, Rexwork, formerly known as Rexnord and became a master welder. He worked at Rexwork until he was forced to retire due to injuries he sustained on the job. He also worked other jobs throughout his lifetime; his most memorable was Rexwork. Homer's hobbies were bowling, shooting pool, playing cards, golfing and spending time with family and friends. He also loved to watch old westerns and was an avid reader of}ames Patterson novels. Homer was faced with a long debilitating illness. However, he was given the will to carryon because of his love and concern for his family and their love for him. He was especially strengthened by his youngest grandson, Nicholas. Homer's demeanor would change when he was around. Watching him play and holding him on his lap helped alleviate Homer's pain. Homer always smiled and laughed at his antics. Homer left us on October 22, 2015 at 11 :07 a.m. with his wife and other loving family members by his side. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory: a loving devoted wife of 33 years, Pamela Jean Mack Gosia; and children, Marilyn Farsee, Denise Brazziel, Carla Johnson, Tina Gosia, Nicole Gosia, Jeff Brazziel, Anthony Payne, Bryant Gosia and Dean Gosia. He also leaves 20 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Lee Gosia, Sr.; his mother, Minnie Lee Patterson Gosia Carter; daughter, Tonda Johnson; uncles, Elmer Lee Patterson and George S. Parker; and special aunt, Lillie B. Gosia Parker.
