Mrs. Ida Mae Watts

Ida Mae (nee: Chambliss) Watts departed this life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 23, 1934 in Enterprise, MS to the late William F. and Rosetta (nee: McClain) Chambliss. Ida attended Fellowship School in Enterprise, MS through eighth grade and completed her high school education at Harris High School in Meridian, MS where she was an avid basketball player. Ida accepted Christ at an early age and united with New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Enterprise, MS. She moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1953 and on March 14, 1956, she married the love of her life Herbert Watts, II. Ida was employed at Wisconsin Book Bindery until she retired. She loved crocheting, cooking and baking for her family. After retirement, she enjoyed shopping and traveling with Nordick Express Tour Group until her health failed. Ida faithfully read her bible mornings and evenings. She was a quiet, compassionate, kind and giving person. Ida had a warm smile for everyone. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish precious memories her husband of 61 years, Herbert Watts II; three sons, William (Alice) Watts, Bernard Watts and Anthony Watts all of Milwaukee, WI; stepsons, Donald (Debbie) Watts, Rondy Watts, Milwaukee, WI; stepdaughters, Louise (Andrew) Nolan, Barbara Harvey, Patricia Watts, Shirley Watts and Lisa Watts all of Milwaukee, WI; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Irene King, Enterprise, MS; daughter-in-law, Venus Watts, Milwaukee, WI; sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Chambliss, Meridian, MS, Murdiss Burks Phoenix, AZ, Elve Barton of Tennessee, Corrine (Andrew) Rainey, DeSoto, Texas and Delores Moore, Milwaukee, WI; aunt, Ruth Sanders, Meridian, MS and Belzola Chambliss, Milwaukee, WI; special godson, Michael Beaudry, Milwaukee, WI; special friends, Mary Brown, Romana McNeil-Kelsey, Le- Vern Boyd, Mildred Hatcher and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Ida was preceded in death by her parents; son, Herbert Watts, III; step-daughter, Jean Watts; daughter-in-law, Joyce Watts; sister, Luerilla McKenney; brother, William Chambliss III; father and mother-in-law; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law.
