Ms. Inez Townsend

Inez Townsend was born on December 27, 1949 in Jackson, Tennessee to James Roy Hunt Sr. and Juanita Hunt. She was the oldest of five children; two sisters and two brothers. She accepted Christ at an early age at Utopian Pentecostal Church after several years she became a member of Balm in Gilead. She attended and graduated from North Division High School and continued her education at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee. Inez was called home on February 7, 2019 at 11:30 am in Milwaukee surrounded by her loving family. Inez met Thompson Love at North Division High School and they dated throughout their high school years. Inez and Thompson had one child together, Tiffany Hunt in 1967. A few year later, Inez met Elwood D. Townsend and they were married in holy matrimony in 1970 and the two had three children: Mamie, Melissa, and Marcia. During this time, she worked at Laddish Company as a word processor for several years, but soon after became stay-at-home mom and cared for her loving family. Inez and Elwood later divorced after 14 years of marriage. She continued to care for her daughters and enjoyed going to church, reading the word of God, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to talk about the goodness of God to anyone who would listen she was on fire for the lord. She was beautiful inside and out, and had a heart of gold. She was a loving woman and caregiver to her aunt, Musie Sykes. Inez was also a caregiver for many years to her mother until her own health decline. At that time her mother moved to Southhaven, Mississippi, where Inez's sister, Juanett continued to care for their mother. (Aaron) Love of Fishers, Indiana, Alex L. Dixon of Austin, Texas, Chardanay L. Hunt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Alexis M. Handley of Brooklyn, New York, Mariah c.P. Price of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Ashley M. Handley of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Courtney A.
