Mrs. Janice Renee Qualls

"I can do a/l things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4: 13 Janice Renee Qualls was born on September 6, 1958, to Joseph and Jeanette Williams in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the sixth of seven children born to this union. After the passing of her mother at the tender age of seven, she and her siblings relocated to Crossett, Arkansas under the loving care of their grandparents, John Henry and Mattie Lee Haynes. After graduating from Crossett High School, Janice moved back to Milwaukee and worked full-time as an administrative assistant for General Life Insurance Company. Janice met and married the love of her life, Jesse Lee Qualls, and their union was blessed with a beloved son, Gerrod Lamont Qualls. As a young adult, Janice accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church for many years. She later joined Brentwood Church of Christ and attended faithfully until the COVID pandemic and her untimely passing. She retired early after a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in her early forties. With a passion for helping others, Janice continued using her skills by volunteering as an Administrative Assistant for 14 years at Servant Manor, where she was adorned with numerous honors and recognitions including the 2009 Volunteer of the Year Award. Janice Renee Qualls transitioned from this life on the morning of February 18, 2024, in her home, with her husband by her side. She was preceded in death by her: loving parents; grandparents; three brothers, LaJoe, Michael, and Donald; and beloved brother-in- law, John Givhan. She leaves to cherish her memory: devoted spouse, Jesse Lee Qualls; beloved son, Gerrod Lamont Qualls; beloved grandson, Bralin Qualls; beloved Goddaughter, Braxtin Johnson; sisters, Shirley Givhan and Diona (Nathaniel) Greene Sr., both of Milwaukee, WI; brothers, Frederick Haynes of Surprise, AZ and Curtis (Cathy) Williams of St. Helena Island, SC; nieces, Veverly (Freddie) Randle of Houston, TX, Adrienne (Gregory) Hunter Sr. of Milwaukee, WI, and Koreanna (Justin) Foster of Collierville, TN; nephews, Amiri (Tammi) Williams and Antoni Greene, both of Milwaukee, WI, and John Curtis Williams of NC; great-nieces, Briauna Williams, Diona Show, Anaya Hunter, Alexis Hunter, and Tashumi Williams; great-nephews, Gregory Hunter II, Jamiri Williams, Antoni Williams, Roshaun Williams, Lanis Hutchins, and Nathan Harrison; and a host of relatives and special friends. When her strength was fading and her spirit got weak, Janice rested her faith on her favorite scripture:
