Mr. Jeffrey Glen Watson

Jeffrey Glen Watson was born in Newbern, Tennessee on April 30, 1953 to the union of DeWitt and Lela (Thacker) Watson. He was 'the fifth of nine children. Jeff was baptized at Jones St. Church of Christ on August 31, 1964, and was very active in the church. He received his formal education within the Dyer County school system and was active in both music as a saxophonist and played high school football as half & full back, winning many awards. He graduated from Dyer County High School in May 1972. Shortly after graduation Jeff moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and continued to further his education. He attended Manpower Business Training Institute where he was enrolled in Computer programming classes. He also attended Milwaukee Area Technical College and took college courses until he retired from Strattec Security Corporation after thirty four years. He then enrolled in Cardinal Stritch University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in May 2012. Jeff met his wife Dorothy Jenell Hutcherson soon after moving to Milwaukee, and on January 18, 1975, they were married. Jeff and [enell (as he always called her) had two children: daughter Katrina Danielle born October 2, 1975, and son Nicholas Tremayne born July 21, 1978. Nicholas was born with a birth defect and pre-deceased Jeff February 17, 1981. Prior to the death of his son, Jeff attended the 35th and Cherry Church of Christ, being instrumental in teaching J enell who was baptized April 19 , 1981. Becoming very active in Church, Jeff was ordained a deacon in 1989. When the congregation moved to its new location, they became Brentwood Church of Christ, and Jeff continued to work and teach. In 1997 Jeff became a certified Satellite School Administrator of the Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas and was an instrumental part in establishing the Brentwood School of Biblical Studies. He encouraged many other brethren throughout the brotherhood to use the Satellite schools as a teaching mechanism to further the cause of Christ. In 2000, with the help of his mentor, LeRoy R. Durley, they began to work with the Sheboygan Community Church of Christ, eventually establishing the Sheboygan School of Biblical Studies in Sheboygan. Jeff also became the full time gospel minister at the Sheboygan Congregation in January 2001. Jeff also became an administrator of The Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University courses helping members in Sheboygan to manage their finances and become debt free. Jeff became a small business entrepreneur coach after he graduated from college and helped small businesses to manage their business finances more efficiently. Jeff became a General Class Amateur Radio Operator and enjoyed nothing more than talking on the radio around the world. Jeff was preceded in death by his son Nicholas Tremayne February 17, 1981 and his father DeWitt Watson, in June 1991. Jeffleaves to mourn his passing his wife of forty-two years: Dorothy Jenell; daughter: Katrina (Darrent) Ross; three granddaughters: Arianna Charmaine (16), Alyssa Marie (12) and Alaina Renee (4); mother and stepfather: Lela and O.W. Lovelace; five brothers: Robert Lee (Lovie), Bobby Gene, Ronnie Vonzell, Lester and Earnie Watson; three sisters: Mary Lee (Wilbert) Roberson, Ella Mae Watson, Juanita Ann (Terence) Mannis; one aunt Earline (Thacker) Hill; two uncles. Willie Thacker and Bobby Joe Crawford, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
