Mrs. Jerrie Billingsley

Jerrie Dean Billingsley (McMillian) was born on December 2, 1950 to the union of Arthur Chester McMillian Senior and Annie Mae McMillian (Godbolt) in Catherine Alabama, affectionately known as Jean to all that knev and loved her. Jerrie received her early education from Epiphany Lutheran School graduating from Miller Ferry High School in 1969. After graduating from high school Jerrie packed up and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her sister Jessie in May 1970. Jerrie met the love of her life, Fred Billingsley on October 1, 1970 at a masquerade ball after moving to Milwaukee and was united in holy matrimony with Fred Billingsley on April 1, 1977, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their union was blessed with their only beautiful and beloved child Cheulanda R. Billingsley who Jerrie adored. Jerrie grew up in the Lutheran Church and was a member of Epiphany Lutheran until she left Alabama. She started attending Greater New Hope Church of God in Christ bringing her sisters Dorothy and Emma along with her which is now known as El Bethel Church of God in Christ. Jerrie would always have a snack in her purse for the children on Sunday morning. Jerrie was a faithful member of the usher board until her death. Jerrie got her first job at Saint Mary's Hospital and then went on to work for American Linen until the company closed. After Jerrie obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, she worked in the health care field caring for the elderly as a home health aide until her own health began to fail. In her leisure Jerrie enjoyed cooking, babysitting. playing games on her tablet, or talking on the phone to one ofher siblings, clients or many friends. Jerrie was known for always having a house full of children, She may have only given. birth to one child, but was the surrogate mother to many. Jerrie will be remembered most for her love of cooking and in enting new recipes. You were alwa s guaranteed to get a good meal if you stopped b her home; she always made you feel welcomed. Jerrie D. Billingsley departed this life on December 9 2019, at 1:45 am; she is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Chester McMillian and Annie Mae McMillian, Brothers, Robert Godbolt, Arthur McMillian Jr., Curtis McMillian, Charles McMillian, Twins Willis, and Ottis McMillian, Sisters Carrie Burrell and Annie Mae Vaughn. Jerrie leaves to cherish her memory loving husband Fred, devoted and beautiful daughter Cheulanda R. Billingsley, nephews (bonus sons) Lemuel C. Burrell & Arthur J. Burrell, Goddaughter Jennefir Gregory-Carr, bonus godsons; Steven Gregory and Cedric McMillian, bonus granddaughters; Kyra and Kyeshia Carr, her sisters Emma Hayes of Los Angeles, Dorothy Gregory of Milwaukee, and Jessie McMillian of Riverside, CA, brothers Isaac McMillian of Milwaukee and Nute McMillian of Brooklyn, Uncle James Godbolt of Las Vegas, sister-in-law Shirley Billingsley-Hernton of Indianapolis, brother-in-law Willie J. Billingsley of Akron, Sister-in-law Glenn Richardson(Maurice) of Indianapolis, brother-in-law Frankie(Nancy) Billingsley of Fort Wayne, sister-in-law Beverly Billingsley of Fort Wayne, sister-in-law Val (Earl) Billingsley-Sutton of Bridgeport, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
