Mr. John Henry Reed

John Henry Reed was born February 15, 1925 to the union of Henry & Stella Reed in Hickman, Kentucky. At a young age he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his parents where he was raised. He received his final education at Lincoln High school and at 19 years old he joined the military in which he was stationed in Kentucky and later in Pittsburgh, California during World War II. His departure from home at a young age, he later stated "made a man" out of him. After his completion of service he would later meet the love of his life. John was a loving husband and best friend to Inez Virginia Reed (Nee-Barksdale). They were also married in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served in the Military and he worked at International Harvester until he retired after 40 years. After retirement he became a security guard at the federal building of Milwaukee to keep busy. He continued to work until 82 years of age. John had a passion for his personal hobby that he enjoyed. He had great love and good counsel for his family. He also had a great sense of humor along with a very sound mind. He enjoyed watching sports and in his later years listening to Christian meetings with his wife. He graciously acknowledged Jehovah's name because that was his final words "Jehovah, Jehovah". Mr. John Henry Reed departed this life at the age of 92 years old. He passed away on Wednesday, January 10,2018. He is proceeded in death by his mother and father Henry & Stella Reed, his dear daughter Diane Evans, his sisters, Idella Rochelle, Emma Stovall, his brothers, Tom Reed, Daniel Reed, Earl Reed, Robert Reed, also his uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: Dear Wife Inez Virginia Reed, his caring children, son James (Berta) Boone, daughter JoAnne (John) Ross, daughter Phyllis (Late Leon) Love, son Gary (Gwen) Reed, son John Reed (Rosalind), son Duane (Renee) Reed, son Carlton Reed, son Ronald (Terry) Reed, son Vincent Reed, and daughter Denise (Laron) Thompson, his beloved sisters Leona Anderson and Martha Wright, his loving 47 grandchildren, great children, even great great children and a host of loving extended family. He lived to see a legacy of 4 generations.
