Mr. Joseph Thompson, III

Joseph Thompson III was born on February 22, 1978, to the union of Joseph Thompson II and Camilla Harris in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his formal education at Custer High School in Milwaukee, WI and later earned his high school diploma. Joseph believed in Christ and developed a relationship with him. He believed in heaven and the afterlife. Joseph was employed with Milwaukee Public Schools as a Building Service Helper II for five years. He was full of energy and curiosity from an early age. His remarkable flexibility allowed him to excel in various sports, from flipping and wrestling, to running. He proudly embraced the spirit of a true "karate kid", integrating his love for martial arts and video gaming into a dynamic childhood rich with creativity and joy. As he entered high school, Joseph seamlessly transitioned his athletic prowess to the football field and basketball court, where he forged friendships and created memories that would last a lifetime. Beyond sports, Joseph was a warm-hearted individual who derived immense happiness from being surrounded by family and friends. He loved shared moments filled with laughter, from movie nights to music sessions. Nothing brought him more joy than delicious meals shared with those he cared for. Joseph was known for his cool-spirited nature and infectious enthusiasm that lit up the lives of everyone in his orbit. Joseph's practical skills shined brightly in many aspects of his life. He was known for taking things apart and putting them back together again, whether assembling furniture or fixing things around the house, he took pride in his handiwork, always eager to lend a helping hand to his loved ones. His resourcefulness and nurturing spirit filled their lives with warmth and reassurance. Joseph Thompson III departed his life on February 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his: father, Joseph Thompson II; grandmother, Willie Beatrice Cannon; and uncle, Joseph Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Camilla Thompson; daughters, Destiny Thompson, Dejanay Thompson, Ijanay Jamerson, and Raijanay Thompson; grandchildren, Peyton Saige Fuller and Kashmir Binion; brother, Corey Thompson; sisters, Saundra Robinson and Monique Adams (Anthony); nephews, Malachi Thompson and Amir Watkins; niece, Zuri Watkins; and a host of other close relatives and friends.
