Mrs. Katherine L. Robinson

Katherine L. Martin Robinson, age 85, died at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday December 6, 2018 at 12:37 pm. She was born on November 25, 1933 to the union of Horace S. and Rosetta O. Martin in Taylor, Mississippi. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior early in life at the North Hopewell Baptist Church in Taylor, Mississippi. After moving to Milwaukee, Katherine became a member of Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Melvin J. Battle. She attended Taylor Vocational High School and graduated in 1950. Upon completion of high school Katherine furthered her education at Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi where she graduated with two degrees, one in biology and the other in cosmetology. She later accepted a teaching job in Memphis, Tennessee and shortly after migrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1957. After moving to Milwaukee, she met and married Hughie Robinson. With the growth of. her family she was a homemaker, cosmetologist, substitute teacher, and worked in a variety of jobs to care for her family and extended family. She retired from Milwaukee Public School as a Paraprofessional in 1996. Katherine enjoyed teaching children, traveling, attending church, singing in the Gospel choir, was a member of the Juanita T. Bell Circle, and loved her time spent with family. Katherine Lutrica Robinson departed this life on December 6, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie Robinson; mother and father, Rosetta O. Martin and Horace S. Martin; brother, James E. Martin; and sister, Bernice V Martin. Katherine Lutrica Martin Robinson, affectionately known as "Kat", had five children, whom she leaves to cherish her memory, Charlotte Hall-Austin of Stockton, California, Dr. Athena R. Randolph (Dr. Tommy Randolph) of Lake City, Florida, Hughie F. Robinson (Susan) of Elm Grove, WI, Dennis J. Robinson (Janis-Deceased), Andre L. Robinson (Christine) both of Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Edith R. Harrison (Isom) of Stockton, California; grandchildren, Randolph Robinson, David Sinclair, George Austin, Cory Randolph, Aaron Randolph, Avonna Randolph, Quintez Robinson, Franklin Robinson, Kameelah Robinson, Deovion Robinson, Amad Robinson, Jerryll Robinson, Krystal Robinson, Alexia Robinson, Tamara Robinson, Robin Robinson, and Christian Robinson; great grandchildren, Zaryn Randolph, Olivia Randolph, Amariyana Robinson, Ka'Liyah Robinson, Kayla Robinson, Isaiah Robinson, Kyriele Rose Sinclair, and Jaydon Thomas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
