Mrs. Kathleen Grace Watson

Kathleen (Kathy) Grace Watson, was born on April 30, 1944 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to the union of the late William T. Benson Sr. and Esther Leone (Doyle) Benson. She began her early childhood In the Mtlwaukee Public Schools System and graduated from West Division High School. Kathy accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age and was baptized in the Church of Chnst, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kathy was united in holy matrimony with Lee James Watson on October 1, 1962. They later gave life to five beautiful, loving and devoted daughters: Tina, Catherine, Leila, Sherry and Felicia Watson. Kathy.was employed by Sinai Samaritan Hospital (Aurora) for over 30 years as an Emergency Room Unit Secretary and provided selflessly for her family. Kathy lived a life filled with humor, hope, gratitude and laughter, even despite her later battle with lung cancer. She was the pillar of light In many lives. Kathy loved to travel, fish, garden, "decorate everything and everybody", watch horror movies and spend all her time with her family. Kathy's overwhelming zest for life was contagious and comical and anyone who knew her knew she was a practical joker. A week before Kathy's homecoming, she asked her daughters for some duck tape. When asked why she needed the duck tape, she stated "So when I arrive in Heaven, I can Duck Tape your Dad's mouth shut." Kathy continued to live her life peacefully and gracefully until her departing day, IRONICALLY, Kathy passed away on her deceased husband's birthday. Needless to say, Kathy departed with a Whole Roll of Duck Tape. . Kathleen Grace Watson departed this life on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at 7:30 a.m. in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family when God called her for duty. Kathy leaves to cherish in her memory: one brother, Thomas D. (Virginia) Benson, WI; five loving daughters, Tina, Catherine, Leila, Sherry and Felicia Watson of Milwaukee, WI; one endearing son, Larry Watson of San Diego, CA; twelve devoted grandchildren, Lee and Regenald Ward, Leeanha, Michael, Eugene, Alexis, Tanitia and Nicholaus Watson, Cassanova, Starliza, Trecon and Jasmine McDonald, and a host a precious great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Kathy will soon reunite with family members who preceded her in her homecoming. beloved husband, Lee James Watson; parents, William T. Benson Sr. and Esther (Doyle) Benson, brothers, William T. Jr. and Robert J. Benson, and one sister, Sandy Benson .
