Mr. Kwane (Albert) Kenya Lamb

Journey His story began on February 11th, 1948. He was brought into this world as lbert Charles Lamb by mother, Anna Belle King and father, Charles Lamb in Chicago Illinois. Kwane was a charming character, full of jokes, wit, love and wisdom. He grew up in Chicago, IL learning of his history and black, cultural heritage. He was a proud man who loved his people and found many ways to educate himself about his life choices. Kwane explored many different paths of faith and continued education to expand his perspective and stay connected to I those he loved. He adored his Mother and admired his Father. He loved taking pictures of and with his family and giving us guidance. He often sat and talked with us individually, spoke in code and told witty riddles. He was in love with literature which led to his love for reading and writing. He wrote and published many poems, proses, and short stories. Kwane was a young man in the army. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the 173rd Airborne brigade, and earned the Parachute badge Expert M16. His service will forever be appreciated. Family Over the years he created bonds and relationships and built a beautiful family that will truly miss him. He married Flora Turner Dee 22 1967 when he enlisted in the army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Bell Lamb, Father,Charles Lamb, Flora Lamb (Wife), brothers; Lamont, Danny, and Stan, and Shirl Lamb (sister). He leaves to cherish his memory: 4 brothers; Tilford, Reggie, David, and Marvin Lamb, a sister Sheila Taylor, his Daughter and son in Law Yolanda & Paul Thompson [r, sons Kwane Lamb and Lacheem Lamb of Colorado. Grandchildren from Milwaukee; Darius, Dalonzo & Taveese Hilton, Derrick & Amanda, Ylana, and Daniel & Ashley, and Kieara & Willie Alexander from Chicago. He leaves behind 8 beautiful Great Grands: Ayana Barnes, Kwane & Roman Hilton, Amina & Kaiya Hilton, Aaron Heartfield, Qijaiyah Jackson and Qilana Hilton. He leaves his memory with a host of Lambs including nieces, nephews, cousins and great nephews and nieces. As we gather in memory of him, we hold on to his words of wisdom and the joy he brought to our family. We give him his flowers by honoring his legacy, his heritage, and showing up as the Queens and Kings he called us. We honor him one last time with this poem we wrote: We met a man With many Names To whom we could tell many thangs Showed us games and rhymes, told tales of old Taught us to be tough, taught us to be bold.
