Pastor LaDale Manns

LaDale Manns was born to Willie Barber and Vivian Manns Bradley in Ripley, TN on January 7, 1952. Growing up with his grandparents he attended Johnson Elementary School. His mother seeking a better life and employment moved her sons, Albert and LaDale to Milwaukee, WI. he continued his education at Fulton Middle School and Rufus King High School. In 1969 LaDale moved back to Ripley, TN to finish his education There he met his high school sweetheart Billie Jo Moore. In 1972 they were married and to that union six children were born. For the last 42 years they have been devoted companions and best mends. After giving his life to God he joined his wife and children at Christ Temple COGIC under the leadership of the late Bishop PJ. Henderson where they worshiped together as a family. LaDale had a great love for the church and the people of God, especially the men of God. In 1984 LaDale and his family joined the ministry under Superintendent Willie Wright at Azareel Temple COGIC. As a Deacon he would always do whatever he could to help his leaders as he worked in the ministry. Shortly thereafter he became an ordained minister. Some of the positions he held while working in the ministry were Deacon, drummer, Y.P.W.W. President, Y.P.W.W. Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Men's class Teacher, State Public relations, and State Adjutancy. LaDale worked as a youth worker for trouble teens at Lutheran Social Services. As a child drawing was one of his passions and talents. He started Signs By Ladale, his very own sign and banner advertisement Business. LaDale operated his advertising business for the last 25 years. His workis displayed throughout the city of Milwaukee. LaDale was a great father. He always had time to play and do fun things with his children. They all had a wonderful relationship with their dad. Even while he was working on signs he still managed to have fun with them. You might have seen one or two of the children holding his ladder as he painted a sign or hung a banner. After servingwith Superintendent Rogers at Living Waters COGIC for many years LaDale still felt the need to start a work, he could not get away fiom the name Strong Tower, he said God had given it to him. On December 1,2013 Strong Tower COGIC was birthed. On Monday, December 22, 2014 Pastor LaDale Manns traded time for eternity to be with the Lord, He was proceeded in death by his parents, Willis Barbee and Vivian Manns Bradley, his grandparents Julius and Frances Manns, and son Delton P. Manns. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Billie Jo Manns, three daughters LaQuesha and Devin both of Milwaukee, WI Maya of Murfreesboro, TN, . two sons Tracy and Timothy both of Milwaukee. Four sisters Deborah (David) Franklin, Jackie Welch, Robin Barbee, Jennifer (Donald) Torrence, three brothers Albert Manns of Milwaukee WI, Johnny Barbee, Dewayne (Gennis) Barbee of St Louis, MO. Six granddaughters, three grandsons, two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
