Ms. Lauren Nicole Johnson

Lauren Nicole Johnson was born on April 13, 1983 to the union of Marcus T. Johnson and Beverly L. Kemp in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her formal education at Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. She furthered her education attending Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in May, 2005. She also attended Concordia University Wisconsin, in Mequon, Wisconsin where she received a Masters of Business Administration (Finance) in May, 2013. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. Also, after having met with distinction the prescribed standards of education and competency, Lauren was granted the designation of Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) by The Institute of Certified Bankers. Lauren accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a person of strong faith and attended church regularly. Since receiving her undergraduate degree, Lauren was employed by the Federal Government. She worked in the Department of Treasury, including in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. She transferred to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in November 2012, as a Bank Examiner. In September 2014, after completing all the requirements of the compliance commissioning process, Lauren was appointed a Commissioned Compliance Examiner. Lauren was a member of numerous organizations, including The Institute of Certified Bankers, . National Association of Black MBAs, Coalition of African American Regulatory Employees and Fuel Milwaukee. She volunteered with the Pearls for Teen Girls program, where she served as a mentor and coach. In her leisure time, Lauren enjoyed working out (she always maintained an active gym membership), helping others, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. She traveled frequently both internationally and domestically. Lauren Nicole Johnson departed this life on January 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly L. Kemp; grandmother, Mary Kemp; grandfather, Dorsey Kemp, Sr.; grandmother, RoseL. Johnson; grandfather, Howard Johnson; and aunt, Denise Johnson-Mathis. She leaves to cherish her memory: her father, Marcus T. Johnson (jan), brother, Marcus T. Johnson, II; sister, Erica Coleman; nephew, Allen C. Johnson; nephew, Corey T. Johnson; nephew, Jeremiah 1. Johnson; niece, Mya N. Johnson; aunt, Darlene Kemp-Stinson (Ron); brother, Dorsey Kemp, Jr. (Ava); aunt, Tina Kemp-Bland (Toney); uncle, Howard Johnson (Mae); uncle, Gordon Johnson; aunt, Sharon Hood (Travis); uncle, Stanley Johnson; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
