Ms. Linda Diana Green

On October 23, 1951, Linda Diana Harris was born to the union of Mr. A.L. and Mrs. Virginia Harris in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In 1963, the family relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Linda was the eldest of six children. She received her formal education within Milwaukee Public Schools. On February 19, 1968, Linda Harris joined hands in marriage with Walter Green Jr. During this union, the couple welcomed four beautiful children: Lisa, Tara, Walter III, and Joyalyn. Linda was blessed with a nurturing spirit which allowed her to excel during her time working as a certified nursing assistant. She was the inspiration for many of us in the family to pursue a career in nursing. She was always someone you could count on during your time of need. Whether lending an ear or even a shoulder to cry on. She was always there ready to offer sound advice and a warm hug. Her smile and unique sense of humor will be missed by all. In her leisure time, Linda enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and listening to music (old school and jazz). Many would also agree that she enjoyed watching television, coffee, and her cigarettes. Later in life, Linda met and fell in love with Gregory Blockton, and they shared over thirty beautiful years together. After the loss of two of her beautiful children in 2016, her health swiftly began to decline, however, she was determined to remain strong. The devastating loss of her lifetime love took a serious toll on her. Linda's courageous spirit guided her through her last days with dignity. Linda Diana Green departed this life on February 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her: significant other, Gregory Blockton; parents, A.L. and Virginia Harris; sister, Leatrice Day; daughter, Lisa Green; son, Walter Green III; and grandson, De'Andre Green. She leaves many of her loved ones to cherish her memory: 3 brothers, Keith (Bernice) Harris, Kenneth Harris, and Kevin (Burnette) Harris; sister, Lucinda Harris; daughters, Tara (Richard) Green and Joyalyn (James) McGee; 8 grandchildren, Demontray Green, Brandon Green, Jeffrey Green, Tiffany (Ishiah) Stokes, Aaron Green, Briana (Erik) Prescott, Makayla (Bacari) Herring, and Nakia McGee-Green; 15 great-grandchildren, Leliani, Brion, I'Shiah, Sorayah, Eriana, Jamir, Bacari Jr.. Ishiah Jr., Kaylynn, Layla, Zaire, Zion, Erik Jr., Emani, and A' Niylah; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Although you are now dearly departed, please know that your beautiful spirit will never be forgotten. Rest well.
