Ms. Linda Lee Roby

PSALMS 46:1-5 --------- God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Linda L. Roby was born April 3, 1959, to the union of Lawrence and Ida Roby in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Linda was the fifth child and second girl of nine children. Linda accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Ellison Chapel AME Church under the leadership of Reverend George W. Reynolds. Linda was a member of the choir and encouraged all friends and family to come to service to hear her angelic voice every Sunday. Linda received her formal education within Milwaukee Public Schools, attending Washington High School and graduating with her high school diploma. Linda was a caregiver by nature and worked professionally as one for over 15 years at New Health Services. Linda moved to Dallas, Texas in 2017, where she worked one of her favorite jobs as a Barista for Starbucks. Linda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her kindness, generosity, selflessness, and her signature laugh. She loved singing, going to church, redecorating homes, watching Lifetime shows, like The Dancin' Dolls, and spending time with her family while recording every moment. On May 20, 2024, Linda was called from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her: beloved mother, Ida Roby; two brothers, Clarence "Junior" Richardson and Lawrence "Larry" Richardson; sister, Annette Roby; niece, Sonia Roby; and great-granddaughter, Asiah Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory: beloved father, Lawrence Roby; two children, Antowon Roby and Antonette Roby; brothers, Robert (Lisa) Richardson and Thomas (Barbara) Roby; sisters, Lorene (Daryll-deceased) Bratcher, Kathy Ann Roby, and Bonnie Jean Baker; grandchildren, Aquanis Roby, Anton Johnson, Lajahmire Johnson, Antowon Roby Jr., Alajuwon Williams, Ida Roby, Linda Roby, Adia Ward, Marsalis Finch, Malaiyah Wiley, and bonus granddaughter, Alizay Loggins; great- grandchildren, A'iayshia Johnson, Aubrey Johnson, Ava Johnson, Ra'kiyah Johnson, Diamonique Owens Jr., and Londyn Marie Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
