Mr. Mario Redmond Jr.

Mario Martinez Redmond, Jr. was born February 13,1989, in Minneapolis, MN to his parents, Den- ise Inez Reed and Mario Martinez Redmond, Sr. At a young age, he moved to Milwaukee, WI with his parents and older sister. Mario graduated from the Milwaukee Public Schools. Growing up, Mario definitely had a passion for singing and performing in many local and family talent shows. Mario loved to play basketball and football to which he excelled as an athlete. He played in the AAU and PAL tournaments, oftentimes challenging and roughing up his little sister "Nae." He definitely was the silliest of his four siblings by always keeping the house laughing with jokes. Mario had a special bond with his parents whom he affectionately called "Moms" or "Big Niecy" and "Pops." Mario was a fierce protector of his family. Scoop, as he was known by his family, had a big heart and cherished family time and always had the desire to get together with his mom and dad's sides of the family. He was a very intelligent, free thinker. During his lifetime, Mario had the privilege to be a father to four beautiful children, KiMarion, Demarius, E'mahriyah, and Marionna Redmond. He loved training Demarius with basketball drills and trying to give good advice to handle life. He referred to his girls as daddy's princesses. Mario worked hard to show his kids love on a daily basis and they knew that. He was employed at WestRock in Germantown, WI. Mario enjoyed traveling, watching sports, and going to sports games, Something else he enjoyed that his little brother Larry didn't really enjoy was coming in from his third shift job, talking loud and updating him on everything while Larry was trying to sleep. Mario was known for talking. Not much could keep him quiet. Moms, Pops, Big Sis, Little Sis, Baby Bro, Grandma Gin, Grandma Erma and Unc could always expect a call or text from Scoop. You better believe it was going to be a lengthy conversation with Scoop doing most of the talking. Mario was loved and he will be dearly missed he departed this life on November 22, 2022. He was preceded in death by his son, Ki'Marion Redmond, grandfather, john H. Reed, great grandmothers, Stella McFarland, Cora Lee Barksdale, and Dorothy Johnson, uncles, Kevin Johnson and Carlton Reed, his aunt, Diane Evans, and first cousins, Romero Johnson and Sharae Redmond. He is survived by his parents, Denise Reed and Mario Redmond, Sr., his children, Demarius, E'mahriyah and Marionna Redmond, siblings, Latoya (Jake) Kozlowski, Lanae Rash, Larry Rash, grandmothers, Inez "Gin" Reed and Erma Johnson, grandfather, Lovelace Redmond and two nieces, Brook'Lyn Rash and Kira Kozlowski and one nephew, Kadin Kozlowski. Mario was truly loved and adored by a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
