Ms. Mary Ann Cole

Mary Ann Cole was born on July 23rd, 1960 in Sunflower, Mississippi to Margitter Beamon (Cole) and Hugo Thurmond. She was raised and loved by Wilson Cole as the father figure in her life. Mary was baptized at the age of 12 in 1972. She received her elementary and secondary education in Mississippi and relocated with her family to Milwaukee, WI where she met Clarence Groves and to their union had 4 children, Nadiyah, Rasheedah, Mary Yvette and Clarence Jr. Mary worked for many years as a respite home care worker and is notorious for her love of music and dancing and an infectious smile. She was loved and adored by all who knew her personally. She bravely fought her battle with cancer and left this Earth to rest peacefully on April 27th, 2018. She is preceeded in death by her fathers, Hugo and Wilson and her son, Clarence.
