Mr. Michael Leon Hall

Michael Leon Hall, affectionately known as OG Cat Daddy, was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Doris Hall and George Sandifer Sr. From the very beginning', Michael carried a joyful spirit and it natural gift fox bringing people together. Michael's life was rooted in love - love for his family, his community, and the connections he built wherever he went. He had a heart for service and an open door for anyone in need. If you were hungry, Michael made sure you ate. If you needed help, comfort, or simply someone to listen, he was there without hesitation. Known for his Legendary cookouts and impromptu gatherings, especially in the Lapham Park &. Wells Street community where he grew up, Michael had a way of turning ordinary moments into lasting memories, music was always part of his world - the soundtrack to his laughter, his stories, and his celebrations. With his boombox nearby and a smile on his face, Michael created ~aces where everyone felt welcome, valued, and at home. Michaell never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't yet fed, laughed with, or shared music and conversation alongside. His generosity, humor, and unwavering love for others left a lasting- imprint on all who knew him. He will be remembered for the warmth he shared, the joy he spread, and the community he built through love, music, and togetherness. Michael was preceded ill death by his parents, Doris Hall and George Sanditier Sr., who welcomed him into eternal rest. Michael leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and community. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Sanders, and his cherished grandchildren George Perkins III, Gregory Perkins, Skyler Bell, Joseph Bell, Torrey Bell, Taylor Bell, and Tristen Bell; his siblings Stephen Hall, Thomas Hall, Angelia Terrell, Robert Terrell, Dr. Tonya Hall, Charlotte Hayslett, and Antonio Hall; and an entire extended family of friends, neighbors, and those he embraced as his own. Though our hearts are heavy, we honor a man who lived boldly, loved deeply and lifted people up simply by being himself. OG Cat Daddy created joy wherever he went, and we know he is already turning up the music and organizing a heavenly gathering. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely.
