Ms. Phyllis E. Moman

Phyllis E. Moman was born to the union of Johnny Ray Monk and Bobbie R Harris (Jennings) on December 26, 1956, in Muskegon, MI. She was called to her heavenly home on December 1 st, 2022, at the age of 65. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was known for her gentle demeaner and quick wit. She graduated with high honors from Rufus King High School and attended UW- Milwaukee. She went on to marry Lloyd Moman, where she then had her only son, Quincey. She even once resided in Germany. She later went on to work at Koss, Johnson Controls and retired from Masterlock and Visa Lighting. She was a true servant of God and her loved ones. She was passionate about teaching, cooking, gardening and encouraging her family to follow their own paths and chase their dreams. Phyllis loved to be with her family and took great pride in all that her loved ones had accomplished. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family like her famous grilled burgers, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, greens, hot water cornbread and to top it off her homemade German chocolate cake for dessert. She loved to get dressed up and would spend quality time with her family and friends laughing and joking. One of her greatest joys was supporting her son's love for basketball while he was growing up and proudly sharing stories of her son's growth. Her grandchildren called her "Grandma Wisconsin" and will always remember the sweet way she spoke with them and told stories of how their father was as a kid. Her best friend and sister, Lolita, recalls the jokes, the funny stories and the way their bond never broke all these years. Her close friends and family called her "Phil" and will remember the happy and enjoyable times they had. Preceded in death by her stepfather, Fred Jennings Jr., sister Frederica Jennings, brother Fernando Jennings and niece, La'I'oya Jennings. Blessed to have had Phil in their lives are her mother, Bobbie Jennings, son, Quincey (Jessica) Moman, grandchildren, Hudson, and Alexander Moman; brother, Douglas Jennings, and sister, Lolita (Robert) Drayton. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews; DeAndre, Deajha Jennings, Robyn, Robert Jr., Rolando, and 'Sweet Pea' Ra'lynn Drayton. Great nieces and nephews, Londyn Howard, Zariyah and Ayden Shears and Cartier Drayton, Dakota, and Denver Jennings. Phyllis is also remembered by many wonderful cousins, and her beloved childhood friends that enriched her life. Her presence will be missed by all.
