Mrs. Rebecca Ellison Webb

Yet not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his manifestation" -II Timothy 4:6 Rebecca Ellison Webb was born on October 2, 1919 in Five Points, Alabama. She was the youngest of six children born to the union of Noah B. Ellison and Lillie Todd Ellison. Rebecca's family was the proud owners of a 250 acre farm where they planted cotton, corn, harvested pecans and had a garden. Rebecca's parents were devout Jehovah's Witnesses who shared and passed along their faith onto their children. Rebecca embraced the faith of her parents at an early age. This love and faith of Jehovah would remain with her throughout her entire life. She attended the Tuesday night bible study, Sunday talks, and Watchtower study. These teachings and beliefs would also be passed onto her children. Rebecca attended the local elementary school in Five Points. From there she went on to attend Chambers County Training School. Here she met Jack Edward Webb, who would become the love of her life. Jack and Rebecca were married May 3, 1938, in Lafayette, Alabama. This union and bond lasted 63 years, ending only with Jack's death in 2007. Living in Lafayette the first few years of their married life, Jack chose to follow in the steps of his father and started a small business cutting and delivering fire wood. Sometime in 1943/1944, Jack was drafted into the United States Navy, stationed in Lakes, Michigan. After his honorable discharge, the family relocated to Buchanan, Michigan. Here, their growing family resided until 1949, when they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For many years, the family resided in a home they purchased on 13th and Brown Street. Later in the marriage, Jack and Rebecca started a used furniture business. Rebecca worked alongside her husband to grow the business, while at the same time, maintaining the home and caring for the children. Her work was 2417; whatever the circumstances were, they only served to strengthen her faith in Jehovah. Rebecca was a dutiful homemaker, caring for and supporting her husband and their 13 children. Whether it was her mastery of food preparation or her skill of sewing, she never complained, for she knew Jehovah Jirah was her help, strength, provider, source and supply. Rebecca loved her husband, her children and her pets. Known as a strong believer and woman of prayer, her love for her creator was unwavering. On Thursday morning, November 17, 2016, Rebecca Ellison Webb departed this life to receive the promises of Jehovah. Known lovingly by her children as "mother", she leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her loss: her children, Lillie Endo1yn Webb, Edward Ellison Webb, Judy Roselyn Jones-Colston (Bobby), Jacqueline Ann Webb (deceased), LaMera1 Webb (deceased), Freida Francine Webb, Rebecca Louise Webb (deceased), Rudy Louise Webb, Larry James Webb, Samuel Webb, Spring Evelyn Webb, Richard Webb (Angela) and Pricilla Webb; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
