Mr. Richard Lee Johnson

RICHARD LE.EJOHNSON was born as the first child of Leroy T. Johnson and Betty Jean Mitchell on November 1,1951 in Milwaukee, WI On July 18,2025 Richard (Rick) Johnson after being ill, was received in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at Accent Care Hospice. To be absent from the Earth is to be with God. He was Confirmed at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, whe~e h~ attended grade school. Richard accepted Christ as an adult in 202.3 at St. Mark Alv1E. Church, Milwaukee, WI Richard was united, for a second time, in holy matrimony with Noreen McKay on April 20, 2002. Richard was a devoted husband and he was Noreen's hero and best friend. The two families were blended and grew together. There was nothing Rick would not do for Noreen, he loved her dearly. We took many fun trips during our marriage and the last one was a Cruise to the Bahamas for his 70th birthday. He was always proud to say that Noreen was his wife, even as he was passing on. The hole left in her heart will never be filled aaron. Richard attended Vidor Berger Elem. School before attending Riverside High School where he graduated in 1970. Rick was athletic in High School and it followed him throuehout his life. After graduating from High School Rick found employment at A 0 Smith Corp and worked there until it was Tower Automotive then he retired. Because he was offered an opportunity to go back to his education pursuits, he attended Springfield College and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2013. After getting his Bachelor's Degree, Rick worked at Community Advocates, Social Development Commission, and lastly Evermore where he was an Educator of the Healthy Marriaae and Fatherhood Programs. Rick was well suited for this because he loved to talk, help and gUide others. Even thouah Rick joined St. Mark Alv1E. Church in 202.3, he had been adive within the church for many years. He volunteered with the mentoring program, Men of Tomorrow. Rick was in charge of the Soul P ahol and Rick led a Rites of P a.ssa.ae Program for young men, which was highly appreciated by the young men and their families. Lord Richard will be londly remembered by the Top Ladies of Distindion for his voluntary help with whatever he could do. Richard had many nicknames, Big Rick, Rick, Ricky, Red, Rick Rude. Slick Rick, etc. because he was so dynamic one name was not enoueh to describe him. He would say to people he just met, "you can ca.ll me just about anything but do not cell me Dick," he hated that. Rick had an outstanding personality that caused people either to love him or not, he could be boisterous, or reserved, fun or trouble, but he was always respectful to others and demanded respect in return. Rick was a big fan of the Green Bay Packer football team. One of his best days was when his brother Darryl took him to a game in Green Bay. He had a lot of Packer thingS; shirts, hats, pictures, dothes, mugs, glasses, just about whatever they sold Rick had. Rick also was a fan of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Brewers and attended a few games. Rick loved dancing, music, partying, good food and fellowship with friends, movies (especially horror), taking care of his cars, dressing sharp, and of course, talking with whomever would listen and give good conversation. He is preceded in death by his lather, Leroy Johnson and siblings, ALe Rivkin, Rodney Rivkin, Christopher Rivkin, Leroy Johnson, Jr., grandchild, Richard Johnson and nephews, Davalion Rivkin, and Travis Rivkin and niece, Rosetta Johnson and leaves to morn his passing mother, Betty Johnson, Noreen Johnson, wife, Montreal Johnson, son, Javier Johnson, son, Erick McKay, stepson, Bryan McKay, stepson, brothers and sisters, Gloria Johnson, Cheryl Johnson, Darryl(Andrea) Johnson, Charlene Rivkin, Celeste (Arbin) Smith, Kevin (Christine) Rivkin, Judith Rivkin, Aunts, Uncles, 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Aunt in Atilliah, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, extended family and friends from near and far.
