MY PASSAGE THROUGH LIFE But the greatest of these is love ... I Corinthians 13: 13 My name is Richard C. Moore Jr. On April 14, 1947, I was the first born to Richard and Leontine Moore in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They raised me along with seven other siblings. I was raised with a strong faith in the baptist tradition. As a member of Canaan Baptist Church, I know God has kept me through good times and bad. I know God has truly blessed me. Study to show thyself approved rightly dividing the word of truth ... II Timothy 2: 15 - As a Christian, having faith has enriched my life tremendously. It also afforded me the privilege of receiving my formal education within the Milwaukee Public School System, where I developed my enthusiasm for serving my country. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me ... Philipians 4: 13 - On my journey through life I served my country in the United States Marine Corp, where I was wounded and honorably discharged. But I will always be a Marine first. "The Few, the Proud, the Marines." Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies ... Psalm 23:5 - Of all the blessings in my life, the most memorable are the holidays and family, times spent with my parents, wife, Marie; brothers, Vernious, Haralson, and Thaddeus; sisters, Gwen Webb, Patricia Wilkerson, Phyllis Moore and Melissa (J on) Thomas; all of my nephews, nieces, cousins, and very close friends. All have added to the joy in my life. I love all of you dearly. Surely goodness and mercy shallfollow me all the days of may life ... Psalm 23:6 - Through God's goodness I was able to share a full life doing my favorite things like being a whistologist/watching other people rise and fly. I love golfing, and I thought I was almost as good as Tiger Woods. Fishing was my best sport, but I never caught a fish. I was a professional hair stylist in the Handsome Barber Shop but no one would let me cut their hair. I am a jack of all trades and Marie says "I am a master at none." And I will dwell in the house of the Lordforever. My dear family and friends, I am with Mama, Daddy and Vernious. I know my presence among each of you will be missed but I will see you again.
