Mr. Samuel Allen Ridgeway

Samuel Allen Ridgeway was born on January 8, 1952 to the union of Georgia Mae Ridgeway and Elijah Tarver. He received his formal education in the Milwaukee public school system. Samuel accepted Christ as his Savior in 2000 and Was united with Park lawn Assembly of God, Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ and also St. Francis. Samuel's heart, under the direction of the Lord was pulled towards attending and joining Christ the King Baptist Church. Sickness fell upon Samuel and he was unable to attend church, so he would listen online (Praise God!). Samuel was united in holy matrimony with Catherine Carter-Williams. Samuel and Catherine met each other at the age of twelve years old. They remained friends and at the age of seventeen years old they began dating and later married. Samuel and Catherine knew that they where each other soul mates. Samuel was very loving, caring and devoted man. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. Their union was blessed with two children. He was employed by Hydrite Chemical Company as a supervisor/plant operator for forty years. He was a dedicated, loyal, honest hard worker. Samuel loved his job and co-workers. Hydrite was a very family orientated company. Samuel spent most of time with family and his grandchildren. Sam loved his family, grandchildren and friends. His grandchildren were his life and there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. Samuel always gave to the United Way, Bread of the world (program of helping cancer children). Samuel always believed in helping others whenever he could. Samuel was such ajoy to be around. His loving presence will be truly missed. God directed his wife Catherine to Christ the King Church and Catherine obeyed God, later to find out Samuel and Reverend John W. McVicker Sr. grew up together. (look at God) his wife, Catherine; sister, Lisa Cruthers; Lisa's granddaughter Danay, sister, Marjorie Parrott; niece, Latoya; and her children Xi on and Xachery just love Christ the king Baptist church and the Reverend McVicker. Samuel Allen Ridgeway departed this life on June 19,2014. He was preceded in death by James Robert Ridgeway, father, Elijah Tarver; uncle, James Willie Ridgeway; aunt, Arabella Louise Ridgeway. He leaves to cherish his memory: His devoted and loving wife, Evangelist Catherine Ridgeway; mother, Georgia Ridgeway; son, DerrekAlonzo James Ridgeway-Carter; Paris De'Von Ridgeway-Carter-Herron; two daughters from Renee Taylor whom are Melisa and Melinda Ridgeway and a son by Myra Hamilton whose name is Quinton Royce Ridgeway, Earl (Nora) Ridgeway from South Haven, Mississippi; George (Mary) Ridgeway from Newwark, New Jersey; Steve Ridgeway from California, David (Danielle) Ridgeway of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Minister Lynda Walker; Marlene (David) Mckinnley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Rita Ridgeway from Indianapolis, Indiana; Marjorie (Marvin) Parrott; Lisa Caruthers; Jerome (Loraine) Carter; Thomas (Charlene) Carter; Carlotta (Thomas) Johnson; Anthony McCalla; Tamara (Dennis) Weddle; Sharon (JImmy) Ridgeway from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Carolyn (Alfredo) Garcia-San Antonia; daughter-in-law, Gayla Carter-Jenkins from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; mother-in-laws, LucyMae Carter-Phillips, Teanna Reed and OzzieMae Carter; Samuel's one and only Godchild, Xachery; whom he adored, stay close to God. He also leaves to cherish his sister and brother-in-laws from Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Irma (David) Ginn; Linda(Phillip )Clarke; Naomi (Reginald)Wright(Ministers); Eula (Henry) Johnson; Willie (Alice) Carter; Jerome Booker; Also grandchildren, Deisita Torres from Puerto Rico; Derrek Alonzo James Ridgeway-Carter from New York; Christopher Ramon Carter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Julia Theresa Carter-Ridgeway from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Gabriella Genelle Carter-Ridgeway from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Alliah Naiomi Carter-Ridgeway from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Devon Carter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Hosetta De'Von, Cathy Alice Carter-Ridgeway Smith from Atlanta, Georgia; Paris De'Von Ridgeway-Carter Hunt; Deisita Beverly, Catherine Carter from MinnesotalMilwaukee; Myra Carter from Minnesota; Amid Ridgeway (Melinda's son) from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Samuel loved each one of them and they all were a blessing to Samueland Catherine. Also Samuel and Catherine had one great grandson, Daron from Atlanta,Georgia and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
