Ms. Sharon Denise Putman

On August 15, 2017, it was the will of our Father to call home SHARON D. PUTMAN. God, we humbly thank you for the life of our beloved and forever cherished mother, grandmother aunt cousin and friend.......A TIME TO BE BORN..... Sharon D. Putman was born December 9, 1954, in Milwaukee, WI. God placed Sharon in the loving care and protection of her parents, the late Odie and Odis Putman.......A TIME TO GROW.....Sharon received her formal education in the Milwaukee Public School system, attending Rufus King High School. She professed a hope and a love of God, at an early age and was united with Monumental Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang on the choir and diligently worked as an usher and cook.....A TIME TO PLANT..... Sharon devoted her life to her family and friends. She spent many years with her lifelong partner, James H. Gardner and to their union two children were born. Sharon reared her children to know and confess their faith and love in Christ. Although Sharon worked various jobs, Underwood Nursing Home was her final place of employment, working there for over ten years. Sharon was a no-nonsense type of person, always "telling it like is". She was known for her sharp wit and tongue of correction. All who knew her were aware that whatever she said or did was done in love......A TIME TO TRANSITION..... While her family witnessed her lengthy journey, Sharon peacefully departed this earth, hearing the voice of Jesus call. Sharon leaves to cherish her beloved memory her: lifelong partner, James H. Gardner; son, Darnell Putman and daughters, Sharel Putman and Verneva Williams; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: George (Margaret) Greenley, DeWayne Putman and Michael Putman; sisters, Lucille Winston and Debra Moore; special niece, Carmen Jackson and special nephew, Deondray Putman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends......A TIME TO REMEMBER..... Sharon was preceded in death by her: loving parents, Odie and Odis Putman; brother, Kenneth Putman; nephew, Louis Meatheney; cousins: Trina Jones, Linda Jones, Billie Jones and Jocelyn Wilks............"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4: 7-8
