Mr. Steven Anthony Dantzler

STEVEN ANTHONY DANTZLER Nathan and Dorothy Dantzler celebrated the birth of Steven Anthony Dantzler on February 28,1960. Born in Milwaukee, Steven was the 6th child of 10. Steven accepted Christ at an early age at Morris Temple COGIC under the leadership Bishop WL Morris, and Elder Garret Herron (Morris Memorial Church of God In Christ). He sang in the sunshine band, youth choir, and Wisconsin State Choir. Later Steven caught the Holy Redeemer fever, under the leadership of Bishop Sedgwick Daniels. You could often see him assisting his brother, Deacon Gerald Dantzler, with the transportation ministry. Steven received his formal education at 12th Street School, graduating from North Division in 1980. After graduation Steven worked at various jobs. He worked for Coca Cola for 15 plus years as a forklift driver. For about 8 years he worked for Sears, in the custodial department until his death. Steven played football in High School. As a youth he would gather his cousins and siblings, to enjoy a fun and competitive game. He also was a member of a drill team. All of the kids would love going to Nat and Dorothy's house for these events. But Steven was always the Captain. Steven loved football, in particular, The Minnesota Vikings. You could always find him debating with people about his team. Steven had a beautiful smile, a loving, caring, and giving heart. He loved to mentor the young children around him. Steven would always talk about his boys, and their love for sports. Steven was a devoted father. He loved to travel, loved people, but most of all, Steven loved his family. To know him is to love him. On September 1, 2017 Steven married the beautiful Marie Sidlbe - the love of his life. Steven and Marie were a happy couple. As they looked at each other you could see the love between them. Steven often said how he was so blessed to have found such a beautiful, loving, and caring wife. They took time out with his boys, and her nephews. Steven was the happiest person to announce I am married. Steven departed this life on Saturday October 7, 2017 He was preceded in death by his parents; Nathan and Dorothy Dantzler, two brothers; Rodney Dantzler, and Gerald Dantzler He leaves to cherish fond memories a beautiful wife; Marie Dantzler, children; Travis & Troy Dantzler, siblings; Nathan(Lena) Dantzler [r., Richard (Daphne) Dantzler of Milwaukee, Wi, Andrew(Mary) Dantzler, Oostburg, Wi, Edwin (Eugenia) Dantzler, Mlps, Minnesota, Derrick Dantzler, Brenda Dantzler, of Milwaukee, WI , Pamela Dantzler of Fort Collins, CO 4 aunts; Myrtle Wilburn, Delores Gordon, Marne Cisse all of Milwaukee Wi, Loretta Thomas Mlps Minnesota, Sister in laws; Regina Dantler, Kankoutiloie, Fatou Coulibalh, all of Milwaukee Wi. 3 Special friends; Joe Adams, Oliver Livingston, Eileen Harper, 3 special children who he helped raise; William and Marsia Mathis, and Nylah Mathis.
