Ms. Vickie Shaw

Vickie Gale Shaw was born on October 1, 1966, to the union of Mamie Lee Shaw and Archie Whitley in Covington Tennessee. Vickie was raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She received her formal education from Milwaukee High School of the Arts (formerly West Division). Vickie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was not a member of a church but attended Victorious Living Christian Center with her daughter. Vickie was employed with Milwaukee County where she worked as administrative assistant with the District Attorney's office. She has been with the county for over 15 years. In her leisure time, Vickie loved to cook for her family and play cards. She has cooked for her entire family and friends every Sunday for the last 20 plus years. She never asked for any help, she just wanted your presence there. Every holiday was hosted in her home, again never asking anyone to bring anything outside of themselves. When Vickie wasn't cooking, she was spending time with her grandchildren. She watched them walk home from their school bus every day. She would cook for them, shower them with gifts, take them on store runs, literally give them anything that they wanted. Vickie enjoyed watching sports, mainly football and basketball. She was going to always be in a football pool and her new love for prize picks 101. When she did make time for herself, she loved spending that time with her close friends. Vickie has touched so many people's lives. Her love language was acts of service. She was always helping someone; her doors were always open, and she never told people no She was truly one of a kind and she will be missed immensely. Vickie departed this life on January 5, 2024. She is preceded in death by her mother Mamie Lee Shaw, her father Archie Whitley her stepfather Odell Avery, the father of her children Torrance Terrell, her sister Della Avery, her brother Earnest Shaw, her brother Michael Whitley her sister Debbie Whitley, her nephew Damon Downy, her cousin Melissa Teal. her cousin Mary Brumfield, her cousins Demarvis Neal and Shalisa Neal. She leaves to cherish in her memory her children Tamika Terrell, Daphne Terrell (Bryan Epps Sr), her grandchildren Bryan Epps Jr., Bryson Epps, Bryelle Epps, her sisters Gayolonda Avery, Mary Avery, Joyce Whitley Toomes, her brothers Kenneth Shaw Sr. (Lyndia Shaw), Dawon Avery, Archie Whitley Jr., her best friends Kelia Boatman, Sharan (Mona) Bell, Dorice Hollis, Sharon Austin, Tabitha Stanford and Sandy Woods, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends!
