Mr. Will Walker

(Will "Lil Man" "Willie" Walker was born October 16, 1938, to Pete Walker and Mary Jones Walker. Will was baptized and joined St. Mark Baptist Church in Browns, Alabama at a young age. He attended Chapel Church School in Browns, Alabama. He later moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he lived and worked until moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He lived in Milwaukee for over 50 years. During his life in Milwaukee, he worked and retired from Black Hawk Leather, LTD (tannery) after 25 years of service. Although he was not an active member at the time of his passing, he was a member of Corinthian Lodge #5 of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Wisconsin, Inc. Willie was known for being a person who loved to joke with his family and friends. He loved being around his family and looked forward to holiday gatherings and backyard barbecues. Willie enjoyed taking long walks, barbecuing on the grill, and often watching wrestling matches. He never met a stranger and always had a joke to share; a physical touch of love and many laughs. Will Walker was united in holy matrimony to Norma J. Hoskins in June of 2002, although they were together in courtship since 1982. Will Walker's journey ended on September 29,2022. He was preceded in death by: parents, Pete Walker and Mary Jones Walker; and siblings, Mrs. Mary Walker, Mrs. Pinkie Hudson, Mr. Earnest Walker, Mrs. Willie Harris, and Mr. James Walker. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted wife, Norma Hoskins; 3 stepchildren, Devin (Brenda) Hoskins Sr., Rosalyn Hoskins, and Norman Hoskins; 7 grandchildren, Devin Hoskins Jr., Rashan Beasley, Francesca Hoskins, Bradley Hoskins, Ieoomnorni. Haivana, and Hahmari; 13 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Caleb, Kameron, Cayden, Nyla, Branden, Nolan, Marianna, Havion, Marvion and Havier (twins), and Brailey and Bradley Jr. (twins); 2 sisters, Maple Acoff of Marion Junction, AL and Rosie Williams of Birmingham, AL; brother, Henry (Shirley) Walker of Birmingham, AL; special niece, Diane (Charles) Sheppard of Milwaukee, WI; nephew, Lorenzo Acoff of Milwaukee, WI; and a host of other special nieces and nephews of Alabama and Milwaukee, WI.
