Mr. William Richardson

William "Bill" Richardson was born on August 20, 1955 to Eddie Lee Richardson and Christine Holmes in Portland, Arkansas. Bill received his formal education in the Portland school system and furthered his education in Job Corps where he became a cook. He confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age and was very knowledgeable of the Bible and was a praying man. Bill was united in Holy matrimony with Jessie Mae Sanders on November 24,2010 during their nearly 4 decade's long relationship, in Waukegan,IL. Together they raised 5 children. He was employed many places, in various positions, but what he enjoyed the most was his position as a cook at Pieces of Eight Restaurant. In his leisure, he enjoyed cooking and being creative with what he served. , he would throw a bunch of stuff in a pot and call it "Soup-to-booty" and it was good. He also was an avid griller. No matter what time of year it was, holiday or not Bill loved to fire up the grill. There was no sleeping in on Saturdays because Bill liked to wake us up to some good ole down home blues. And on Sundays, the Gospel train rode through the house. Bill loved to sing! He was always singing and had a beautiful voice. In/act, he loved singing so much, that if you walked past him and breathed out loud, he would make up a song about you walking past huffing and pUffing and probably follow behind you singing it. Bill was a goofball and he loved to laugh and tell stories about "down home" that will live on in our hearts and continue to be told amongst family and friends. Before his departure, Bill had been talking with his siblings and this gave him great joy and made him very happy. Bill breathed his last and departed this life on September 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife Jessie Mae Richardson. Parents: Christine Holmes and Eddie Lee Richardson. Brothers: Ivory Joe Curtis, Birl Lee Franklin and Bruce Adams. Grandson: JaRon Cupil. He leaves to cherish his memory and continue in laughter his children Kizzy Williams, DeQuan Williams, Kawana Sanders, Ronald(Dorthea) Sanders and VonAdrian Williams all of Milwaukee, WL Sisters: Daisy Mae Polite of Dermott, AR, Eddie Mae Wright of Portland, Oregon. Bessie Mae Jackson of Detroit, MI, Mareen(Lester) Vann of Hot Springs, AR, Emma Jean Ailen of Crossett, AR, Fairilla(Elvis Dann) Turner of San Jose', CA, Jacquelyn(Charles) Bynum of Portland, AR and Betty Richardson Erby of Milwaukee, WL Brothers: Jerry Richardson of Norfolk, VA and LeRoy McDaniels of Detroit, ML He is further survived by 12 grandchildren and (15) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
