Pastor Willie Eugene Simspon

Willie Eugene "Gene" Simpson was born on August 23, 1948 to the union of Ruby Wilson and Willie Simpson, Sr. in Rockford, Illinois. Willie Eugene Simpson received his formal education in the Milwaukee Public School System from North Division High School in 1966 in Milwaukee, WI. He furthered his education at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) in Drafting. He was also a student of the Word of God. Willie accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was united with the St. Benedict Church and later the Love Tabernacle Church where he served as a Minister and Prayer Intercessor. Willie was also a member of the Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Rev. Walter R. Davis, Sr. Willie later heard the calling of the Lord and accepted his calling to the pastorate and birthed The Will of God Ministries. Willie Eugene Simpson was united in holy matrimony with Donna M. Lee on August 10, 1989 in Milwaukee, WI. He was employed by Lithonia Lighting as a Light Fixture Assembler for a number of years. Willie later returned to Milwaukee, WI to do full time ministry as a Pastor and Prayer Intercessor until the Lord called him home. In his leisure, Willie enjoyed dominoes, karate movies, classic movies, watching television, comedies, walks, playing drums, playing with his grandchildren, and he loved doing an impersonation of Donald Duck. Willie led many family members and friends to Christ and was a Prayer Intercessor whenever he was called upon. He left an indelible print on everyone that he came in contact with. Willie was truly a devoted in the work of the Lord and had strong faith. Through his sickness he yet believed in the power of prayer, he maintained relentless faith, he never complained, and he never lost his joy. Willie Eugene Simpson made his transition on March 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father Willie Simpson, Sr., his stepfather Tommie Wilson, one brother Brian Wilson, and one sister Candace Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mrs. Ruby Wilson, wife Donna Simp- son, one daughter Chicas (Courtney) Sinclair, one son Kenan (Audra) Simpson, two stepsons Jacques (Tina) Singleton and Claude Singleton. Two sisters Marva (David) Scott, Carol (Dwight) Jenkins, two brothers Randy Wilson, and Tony (Tamara) Wilson. 11 grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
