Mr. Allan Orlando Newson

Allan Orlando Newson was born on January 27, 1978 to Allan Newsom and Arlena Bell in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Allan received his formal education in the Milwaukee Public School System, (MPS) then attended Franklin High School, in Franklin, Wisconsin. He continued his education at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), were he earned an Associates Degree in Television & Video Production. Being taught under the direction of Glenn Riley, Duane Rodriguez, Kevin Pulz, and others, he became one of the finest students this program had ever produced. Allan enjoyed a rewarding career working for several local media broadcasting stations including CBS 58, WV-TV, CW18, and Milwaukee Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) holding several different Production Operation positions throughout his career. In 2002, Allan was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which forced him to retire. His spirit wasn't deterred as he continued to pass on his knowledge of TV and Video Production as a volunteer teacher at MATC enriching and impacting future student's lives. In his leisure, he enjoyed watching wrestling, football and baseball, especially his favorite teams the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He also enjoyed listening to Pink Floyd and 9 Inch Nails. Allan also loved interning with the Milwaukee Brewers Video Department. Allan Orlando Newson departed this life on February 24, 2022, after a long courageous battle with MS. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther Bell, Sr. and Astrolia Bell. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Arlena Bell; father, Allan Newsom; brothers, Jerrell Newson, Dominic Newsom, Quintin Horton and (Brandie) Horton; two sisters, Rava Newsom and Monica Newsom; Bell, Jr. and Clayton Bell; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
