Mrs. Allie Mae Johnson
October 2, 1923 - February 1, 2022
Allie Mae Johnson (nee: Carter) was born on October 2, 1923, to the union of Sudie and Hildro Carter in Kentucky. Allie accepted Christ as her Savior at on early age. Allie Mae Carter was united in holy matrimony with Floyd Johnson in Kentucky. Their union produced no children of their own, however, Allie mothered any and all children that come into her life. She was employed at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a Nurse for several years until she retired. In her leisure, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved shopping, laughing, and talking. She was always ready to get in the car and ride! She truly enjoyed going fishing with her sibling any chance she hod. She joined Unity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Nathaniel Johnson where she served on the Nurses' Board until she changed membership to Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of William E. Robbins. There, she served on the Nurses Board once again, until her illness prevented her from being able to continue to serve. However, Allie remained a faith member until her passing under Pastor Demoin McCovery. Allie Mae Johnson departed this life on February 1, 2002. She was preceded in death by mother, Sudie Carter; father, Hildro Carter; two sisters, Ruthie Mae Jacobs, and Bertha Yancey; three brothers, Jimmy Carter, Hilda "HC" Carter, Jr., and Alex Carter; two nephews, Ernest, and Meechie; and niece, Mildred. She leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Emma Harper; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
