Mrs. Barbara Bruneau

Barbara Jean Bruneau was born on July 15, 1942, to Hardy Joshua Sr. and Ethel Mae Edwards in Long Leaf, Louisiana. Barbara received her formal education within the Milwaukee Public School System. She furthered her education at a Technical College in Milwaukee and earned a degree in Human Services and Cosmetology. Barbara accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Metropolitan Missionary Church in Milwaukee at the age of seven. In 1962, Barbara Jean Joshua united in holy matrimony to Albert Bruneau in Milwaukee. Their union was blessed with one child, Cynthia Ann Bruneau. She was employed within the nursing field as a Health Care Provider for over fifty years. She was a member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother's Board for over forty-two years. In her leisure she enjoyed church, shopping, helping others and good food. Barbara Jean Bruneau departed this life on March 13,2022. She was preceded in death by father, Hardy Joshua Sr.; mother, Ethel Mae Edwards Joshua; brothers, Hardy Joshua Jr.. Theodore Joshua, and Michael Joshua; sisters, Antionette Joshua and Sylvia Joshua; great nephew, Damarion Allen. She leaves to cherish her memory six children, Kevin Joshua, (Denise Joshua), Cynthia Bruneau, Antionette Bruneau, Michelle Johnson and (Douglas Johnson); sisters, Iceola Momon, Gwendolyn Mitchell, Debra Joshua, Carol Joshua, Frances Joshua, and Pauline Joshua; brother, Clarence Joshua; two grandchildren, Kevin Flynn and Diante Jones Sr.; great-grandchildren, Taquayla Flinn, Kenascia Finn; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends.
