Sister Betty Jean Cowser was born on June 22, 1944, to the union of Elder John and Mother Birdie Cowser in Eldorado, AR. Sister Betty received her formal education in the Milwaukee Public School (MPS) System in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sister Betty Jean Cowser accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was united with Saint John Church of God in Christ, lnc. where she served as the director of ushers both for her local and district churches. She also held the duties of Sunday School secretary for many years. In her leisure time, Sister Betty enjoyed cooking and baking, she especially loved baking cakes and pies for family and friends. She also enjoyed playing the piano. Sister Betty Jean Cowser earned her wings on November 22, 2021 . She was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor John, and Mother Birdie Cowser, brothers, John Lee Cowser, James Edward Cowser, and David Cowser all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and sister, Willie Ann Adams of Sacramento, CA. Sister Betty Jean Cowser leaves to cherish her loving memory brothers, Deacon Robert (Mother Dorothy Jean) Cowser, Deacon Jerry Cowser, Superintendent Nathaniel (Lady Brenna) Cowser, Sr., sisters, Sister Marilyn Cowser, OSF, Mother Mary (Elder Larry) Brown all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Sister Betty Jean Cowser was loved and will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
